Stephen Lindsey will talk about the Future Forge Makerspace which provides community access to tools, equipment, knowledge, skills, and space to empower Silver City and Grant County's local innovators.
"We make resources accessible, allowing exploration, innovation, entrepreneurship, and creative growth," Lindsey said.
Makerspace equipment resources include metal working, 3D printing, a wood shop, laser cutting, water cutting, a computer lab, art space for jewelry and lapidary, as well as classroom space.
Stephen Lindsey, a community leader and MBA candidate at Western New Mexico University, brings a wealth of experience in sustainable development, economic analysis, and team supervision. As the founder of Future Forge Inc., Silver City's premier makerspace, Lindsey actively coordinates major events and has been recognized with awards like the WNMU Alumni Hall of Fame Young Alumni Achievement Award, the New Mexico True Heros Award, and the Mainstreet Strong Award. With a deep commitment to community sustainability, he integrates diverse skills in entrepreneurship and business administration, poised to make a lasting impact on local initiatives.
There are speakers on the patio if you wish to listen to the service outside.
Childcare is available every Sunday. Zoey Cronin will lead a formal children's program on second and fourth Sundays. Â
Children are welcome to participate on any Sunday, but they will get the most out of the program if they attend second and fourth Sundays somewhat regularly. Family adults may stay for the children's program or attend the adult program. Children are encouraged to bring a small item that represents someone or something they are grateful for that week.
