The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) in conjunction with Mountain States Constructors, Inc. (MSCI) will be holding a Public Information Meeting on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 6 p.m. at the Hurley Community Center for the upcoming US 180 4-Lane project, CN# 1101841. The project limits will be from Bayard to Hurley (just south of the railroad track crossing) milepost 123.13 to 128.27 for 5.14 miles.

The project cost is estimated at $41M and construction is expected to begin on November 4, 2024. This project includes widening US 180 from a 2-lane to a 4-lane, realignment of roadway over the existing railroad tracks, removal of the Hurley overpass to be replaced with an at-grade roadway crossing at Pit Access Road. Rehabilitation of pavement and widen shoulders from 8 foot to 10 foot, and improvement of intersections along the corridor.

Meeting Purpose:
At this meeting we will discuss the construction schedule, review construction plans, expected traffic impacts, and timelines. We will also answer your questions and take comments.
