Jeffrey Foucault
Americana - Country, Blues, Rock and Folk
Doors: 7:00pm • $15/advance • $20/door
Limited First Come seating!
In two decades on the road Jeffrey Foucault has become one of the most distinctive voices in American music, refining a sound instantly recognizable for its simplicity and emotional power. With a string of critically acclaimed studio albums – "Stark, literate songs that are as wide open as the landscape of his native Midwest" (The New Yorker), "Beat-up troubadour folk whittled to dolorous perfection" (Uncut), "Songwriting Brilliance," (Irish Times) – he's built a brick-and-mortar international touring career and a devoted following, one that includes luminaries like Van Dyke Parks, Greil Marcus, and Don Henley.
In September of 2024 Jeffrey Foucault released THE UNIVERSAL FIRE . A series of high-voltage performances cut live in one room, the album is both a working wake – Foucault lost his best friend and drummer Billy Conway, to cancer in 2021 – and a meditation on the nature of beauty, artifact, and loss.
Augmenting Foucault's all-star band with members of Calexico and Bon Iver (drummer John Convertino and producer/saxophonist Mike Lewis) THE UNIVERSAL FIRE sets Conway's death against the massive 2008 fire at the Universal Studios lot in California that destroyed the master recordings of some of our bedrock American music, to interrogate ideas about mortality, legacy, meaning, and calling.

Carsie Blanton
Folk, Singer Songwriter
Doors: 7:00pm • $20/advance • $24/door
Carsie Blanton is a songwriter with hooks, chutzpah, and revolutionary optimism. "It is possible to face the world as it is - rapidly heating, ruled by grifters, ravaged by profitable wars - and still have hope," she says of her newest release, After the Revolution. "Not the narrow, grasping hope you might hang on an election or a billionaire, but a patient, zoomed-out hope." Of After the Revolution,
NPR's Fresh Air says "Protest music tends to be strident or self-righteous or just bluntly angry. But Blanton, a folk singer with a rock attitude, knows how to construct songs with real melodies and storylines that don't obscure her messages."
With her unique mix of humor, craft, and social critique, Blanton has amassed a small menagerie of viral hits (Rich People, Shit List, Fishin' With You) and a dedicated fan base. In addition to fifteen years on the road with her band, Blanton volunteers as a political organizer, and was recently published in The Nation.
"Beautiful, militant anthems." - Ken Tucker, NPR's Fresh Air "Carsie Blanton is fighting fascism with big hooks and an even bigger heart." - American Songwriter
Carsie Blanton writes anthems for a world worth saving. Her songs encompass a wide range of genres, from sultry pop to punk-tinged Americana. Whether alone with her electric guitar or fronting her four-piece "handsome band," Carsie delivers every song with an equal dose of moxie and mischief, bringing her audience together in joyful celebration of everything worth fighting for.

Alma Russ
North Carolina Country Music
Doors: 7pm/ By Donation
Alma (say it like Alamo) is a vocalist, songwriter, and musician out of Western North Carolina. She plays patchwork music: country, folk, and Appalachian roots sewn together to make something unique.
When she's not on the road, she lives in Whittier, North Carolina. Songwriting is cheaper than therapy, and old songs make her happy. Music has taken her lots of places, from the hometown bars, to church, to the highway. She spent a while performing as an entertainer on the passenger train in Bryson City, NC, and once she wound up getting 3 yeses from ABC's American Idol Judges on Season 1 and being sent to Hollywood, CA. Music continues to give her stories to tell.
