Midwife w/ Amulets
Metal/ Experimental
Doors: 6pm • $15/adv • $20/door
Madeline Johnston is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist and recording engineer, currently based in Southern Colorado by way of Denver, where she spent the last decade developing her sound and focusing on her artistic community. Midwife began while Madeline was a resident of the beloved DIY space Rhinoceropolis in 2014. On stage, Johnston is known for her sparse, emotionally charged experimental pop music that can silence a room. On record, she produces intricate and lush sonic environments in her own little corner of the heavy music scene. She describes her sound as "Heaven Metal," AKA emotional music about devastation. Johnston writes primarily about grief, and the many faces it can inhabit.
Amulets is the solo project of Portland-based audio + visual artist Randall Taylor. Amulets
employs handmade cassette tape loops and live processed guitar loops to create live, lush
soundscapes and immersive drones. Through the re-contextualization of cassettes, sampling,
field recording, and looping, these long-form compositions blur the genres of ambient, drone,
noise, and electronic music.
All proceeds go to paying the Performers and Supporting Live Music.

Mama's Broke w/ Red McAdam
Folk/ Country
Doors: 6pm • $12/adv • $15/door
Mama's Broke is a Halifax-based folk duo—Amy Lou Keeler and Lisa Maria—formed in 2014 after a chance road-trip meeting. Known as tireless road warriors, they've toured extensively across North America and Europe, carrying a "folk without borders" ethos wherever they go. Their award-winning debut Count the Wicked (2017) earned a Canadian Folk Music Award for Ensemble of the Year, followed by Narrow Line (2022), nominated for both a CFMA and a Juno Award. Rooted in old-time, Celtic, and Québécois traditions, their sound expands to include blues, punk, Balkan and Eastern European influences, and experimental edges. Built around haunting dual harmonies, emotional rawness, and rich instrumentation—fiddle, banjo, guitar, mandolin, and foot percussion—Mama's Broke blends tradition and innovation into dark, visceral folk songs that linger long after the final note. They write for the spaces between heartbreak and hope, offering music that lingers like a memory you're not quite ready to let go of.
Red McAdam is a genre-defying storyteller and roots musician whose music blends traditional honky-tonk and Western swing with indie rock, R&B, and wide-open Americana. Red's songs are built from richer, stranger, and more honest terrain—tales of life on the road, unforgettable characters, hard luck and hard truths, all delivered with raw, expressive vocals and fearless songwriting. His dynamic performances—frenetic, heartfelt, and a little delirious—have made him a standout on stages from dancehalls to dive bars across the country. With rich instrumental textures and a refusal to be boxed in by genre, Red McAdam offers a fresh, inventive take on roots music that both honors tradition and breaks new ground.
All proceeds go to paying the Performers and Supporting Live Music.
