Levi Platero

Blues Rock – Full Band

Standing Show/Limited Seating

Doors: 7:00pm • $10/advance $12/door

Show time: between 7:30 + 8:00

Levi Platero is an award-winning Native American Blues singer-songwriter from the Navajo Nation. Steeped in musical lessons as far back as teaching himself guitar at nine years old from a launchpad of the three Kings and Stevie Ray Vaughn, Platero's leads and songwriting reflect a lifetime absorbing music. On "Work Hours," Platero's guitar work and songwriting style bring a breath of fresh air to a time-worn topic and make it new.

Platero's self titled EP featuring the single "Take Me Back" went on to win the 2016 NAMA (Native American Music Award) for Best Blues. Levi Platero is a great example of a guitar player with the gift of guitar playing intuition of a much more experienced player. His quiet nature is unleashed in a style that mixes a spectrum of Texas blues and vintage rock to modern guitar heroes such as Eric Johnson and Steve Vai. With a captivating live show he ranges from flurries of guitar acrobatics all the way down to soulful expressiveness.

Melissa Carper w/ Special Guest Theo Lawrence

Honky Tonk/Country

Limited Seating

Doors: 7:00pm • $15/advance $20/door

Show time: between 7:30 + 8:00

Please Note: This show is scheduled at a Special Time when we are normally closed.

"Not unlike Loretta Lynn, Melissa Carper is giving us scenes and stories and vignettes that kind of play out between home and the honky-tonk" – NPR

"Melissa Carper is one of the greatest classic golden era country singers and composers of this generation. A new batch of songs from Melissa Carper is something to smile and rub your hands together about like waiting for permission to cut into an apple pie". – Saving Country Music

"Singer-bassist Melissa Carper sounds like a voice from a bygone era…Evoking the cool, smoky croon of a lounge singer, Carper gives some winking commentary about having a good time." – Rolling Stone Country

"It's a tricky thing that Carper has done. She clearly revels in recreating the music of her heroes, carefully preserving the sense of romance and immediacy of the old classics. Yet by bringing her own experiences into the canon, she is unearthing a history that includes so many more of us, finally allowed to speak out through memories forgotten due to silence and taboo." – No Depression

Theo Lawrence is a young, independent French-Canadian songwriter, musician & singer based out of Bordeaux, France, and more recently, Austin, Texas. His music is rooted in the country music songs of the 1950's and 1960's, borrowing elements from Soul, Pop, and Rock 'n' Roll of the same era. A mix of styles & sounds, done with a deep love for tradition, while bearing the mark of modern times.

Kimmi Bitter – Full Band

Retro Country Singer Songwriter

Doors: 7:00pm • $10/advance $12/door

Show time: between 7:30 + 8:00

Centered around the vein of old-school country with a touch of the swinging sixties, Kimmi Bitter and the Westside Twang are here to transport you on a retro journey into the year 1962 through their nostalgic songs. "The future of classic country is Kimmi Bitter," as Saving Country Music boldly states. Effortlessly navigating through Countrypolitan ballads in her mod wardrobe and love of white boots, Bitter has drawn strong comparisons to Patsy Cline, Tammy Wynette, and Nancy Sinatra.

Creating a buzz from her grassroots efforts and vigorous touring, her debut album "Old School" hit the ground running in 2024 landing at #24 on the Americana Album Radio Chart with "My Grass is Blue" debuting on the Americana Single Radio Chart. She also found recognition in her hometown at the San Diego Music Awards winning Best Country/Americana Artist and "My Grass is Blue" was nominated for Song of the Year in 2023, as well as, Saving Country Music's 2022 Single of the Year. In 2024, single "Aquamarine" was nominated for San Diego Music Award's Song of the Year making it the third nomination of a song featured on break-out album "Old School".

Driven by a hyper-obsession for the 1960s, Kimmi Bitter and her band create a captivating soundscape that blends classic country with surf rock, psychedelic twangs.

"Like the bulk of Bitter's new album Old School, "I Can't Unlove You" is immersed in a detailed study of 1960s countrypolitan sounds, from the Jordannaires-esque harmonies to the hushed percussion. Meanwhile, Bitter possesses a smooth, polished vocal that unmistakably draws comparisons to the late Patsy Cline." ~ * Must Hear New Country Songs, Billboard  April 2024

Larry & Joe

Appalachian Folk and Traditional Venezuelan Fusion

Doors: 4:00pm • $20/advance. $25/door

PLEASE NOTE: This Show is scheduled at a Special Time.

Seating is Limited and First Come.

Larry & Joe were destined to make music together. As a duo they perform a fusion of Venezuelan and Appalachian folk music on harp, banjo, cuatro, fiddle, maracas, guitar, upright bass, and whatever else they decide to throw in the van.

Larry Bellorín hails from Monagas, Venezuela and is a legend of Llanera music. Joe Troop is from North Carolina and is a GRAMMY-nominated bluegrass and oldtime musician. Larry was forced into exile and is an asylum seeker in North Carolina. Joe, after a decade in South America, got stranded back in his stomping grounds in the pandemic. Larry worked construction to make ends meet. Joe's acclaimed "latingrass" band Che Apalache was forced into hiatus, and he shifted into action working with asylum seeking migrants. Then Larry met Joe.

Currently based in the Triangle of North Carolina, both men are versatile multi-instrumentalists and singer-songwriters on a mission to show that music has no borders. As a duo they perform a fusion of Venezuelan and Appalachian folk music on harp, banjo, cuatro, fiddle, maracas, guitar, upright bass, and whatever else they decide to throw in the van. The program they offer features a distinct blend of their musical inheritances and traditions as well as storytelling about the ways that music and social movements coalesce.

"Together, they fuse Appalachian folk and traditional Venezuelan music in dizzying ways."  - San Francisco Chronicle

"Their virtuosity is jaw dropping live…they both take great, transcendent joy in making this music together, and that kind of joy is contagious." - Folk Alley

Ross Cashiola & Ryan Sambol

Singer Songwriters

Doors: 7:00pm • by Donation

Show time: between 7:30 + 8:00

Ross Cashiola is a songwriter living in Marfa, Texas. He is the front man for the band Hotel Brotherhoo. Untraditional folk, western folk and roll, and country grunge are indicative of the songwriting tone and musicality of this expressively themed music.

Ryan Sambol, former front man of the fantastic Austin band, The Strange Boys. Ryan's work contained a world-weary seriousness and vacillated between sunny and nihilistic outlooks. It's a conversation that develops in his solo work, and separated from the vehicle of his band, his songwriter's persona seems more beguiled and tormented. With 'Rail Sing', Sambol delivers a stunning display of an artist very much in his prime, navigating seamlessly between baroque pop, jazz, and songbook.
