WNMU Francis McCray Gallery of Contemporary Art will host a retrospective exhibition of the works of Lois Duffy as part of the Edwina & Charles Milner Women in the Arts Lecture and Exhibition Series. This retrospective celebrates Duffy's life story as it unfolds through her art, evolving from delicate watercolors and pastels to grand acrylic paintings, where every piece reveals friendly, humorous, serious, and thought-provoking possibilities. Her distinguished career spans three distinct phases, each influenced by the unique places she has called home. Lois has been an influential artist in Silver City for over two decades.
An artist's lecture will be held October 17 at 6:00 p.m. in the Light Hall Theater. The lecture will be followed at 7:00 p.m. with an opening reception in the McCray Gallery.
