Albuquerque, NM – December 10, 2019 – Albuquerque Film & Music Experience (AFMX) was recently named to FilmFreeway’s list of Top 100 Best Reviewed Festivals in the world. The list, which is created by FilmFreeway user reviews, ranks AFMX in the top 1.5 percent of over 8,000 independent film festivals and contests worldwide.

“Our entire team is honored to have received this level of acclaim for our festival,” said Ivan Wiener, AFMX Executive Director. “Knowing that the Albuquerque Film & Music Experience has been reviewed so highly is a true testament to the hard work that has gone into making the festival a top-notch experience for performers, filmmakers, actors and actresses, and attendees each year. Staff members such as Lori Berman, Filmmaker Liaison, have been a key part in the hospitality shown to filmmakers and VIPs.”

Since its inception, AFMX has brought together all-star performers, entertainers and filmmakers, as well as students, the Albuquerque community, film buffs, and aspiring creatives for the weeklong festival. With films, workshops, musical events and more, the event highlights the success of New Mexico’s film industry, showcases the talents of independent filmmakers, and inspires the next generation of New Mexico’s entertainment industry. The table is set for AFMX 2020, taking place September 24-27.

“The film and entertainment industry continue to grow and succeed in Albuquerque and New Mexico as a whole, and we’re thrilled to bring this momentum into 2020 as we look forward to continued growth and to our upcoming eighth annual festival,” added Wiener.
