"Discovery Night" at the Museum of Space History is Wednesday, February 26, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm on the second floor of the museum. "Discovery Night" will highlight the International Space Hall of Fame Foundation (ISHFF), Women in Aviation International (WAI), the all new STARBASE Holloman Program, and the many exciting educational opportunities that the museum's education program offers.

"The International Space Hall of Fame Foundation will showcase how it supports the museum and how anyone can get involved and help," said ISHFF President/CEO Johnny Powell. The ISHFF is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation who purpose is to receive and administer funds for scientific, educational and charitable purposes. The organization was formed in 1973 with the goal of creating what is now the New Mexico Museum of Space History. Discover how the Foundation supports the museum and how you can get involved.

More than 20,000 members across 120 countries help support Women in Aviation International. WAI is the largest nonprofit organization in the world dedicated to increasing the number of women involved in all aspects of aviation and aerospace, according to their website. The local chapter of WAI will be on hand for "Discovery Night" with special presentations to let the community know how young women in the area can be involved.

The newly stood up STARBASE Holloman Program focuses on STEM education for fifth grader across the region. STARBASE staff will offer a sneak peak at the exciting opportunities the program brings for students in the Otero County area and give parents a chance to meet the staff. Curiosity and questions are welcome!

Each year, the Museum of Space History's Education Department reaches out to thousands of students statewide with exciting STEM based programs geared to engage and promote science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Learn about what the department does and how it helps schools meet their standards and requirements.

The International Space Hall of Fame Foundation (ISHFF) is a 501(c)3, non-profit corporation whose purpose is to receive and administer funds for scientific, educational, and charitable purposes including providing philanthropic support to the New Mexico Museum of Space History and its programs. As part of its ongoing commitment to the community, the ISHFF constantly seeks new avenues to fulfill its purpose such as becoming the program administrator for STARBASE Holloman.
