State-funded, disaster-related debris removal program for private property

Santa Fe, N.M.The State Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (DHSEM) is now offering full-service debris removal, at no cost to private property owners. The program can be provided through either full debris service from a home property, or curbside pickup for residents who move their debris to the curb.

Any resident who was impacted by the South Fork fire, Salt fire, or flooding in Lincoln County is eligible for this program. If residents receive funding from their insurance companies for debris removal, they will be required to notify the state. Insurance coverage does not disqualify a property from the program, but a portion of the insurance payment may need to be submitted to the State.
