Santa Fe, NM — This week, a progressive New Mexico lawmaker  launched a website that allows people to report and track U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activity across New Mexico.

In response, House Republican Leader Gail Armstrong issued the following statement:"The far-left progressive state representative crossed a line. Launching a website to monitor and report ICE operations endangers officers, compromises investigations, and could obstruct federal law. New Mexico is already battling drug trafficking and illegal border activity, and we don't need lawmakers helping criminals hide from accountability. This is what happens when far-left politics come before public safety."

Leader Armstrong added:

"Legislators have a duty to protect New Mexicans, not to undermine those who are sworn to enforce federal law. We must not let ideological experiments compromise our statewide efforts to combat drug-trafficking, illegal border crossings, and criminal networks exploiting our communities."
