PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE
SANTA FE – The New Mexico Judicial Compensation Commission will meet virtually on Tuesday, Sept. 16, to consider recommendations to the 2026 Legislature for possible compensation changes for state court judges.
TIME: 1 p.m. (MDT).
DATE: Tuesday, Sept. 16.
PLACE: Live streamed on the New Mexico Courts YouTube channel and conducted virtually on the Google Meet platform.
PUBLIC COMMENTS: The online meeting will include a public comment period. Any person wishing to make comments must join the meeting using the Google Meet platform. State law requires the independent commission to annually recommend a judicial salary proposal to the Legislative Finance Committee and the Department of Finance and Administration.
Camille Carey, dean of the University of New Mexico School of Law, chairs the commission. Other members are Aja Brooks, president of the State Bar of New Mexico; former Rep. Daymon Ely, an Albuquerque attorney; Adam Flores, an Albuquerque attorney; Patrick Ortiz, a Santa Fe attorney; and Kathryn Morrow, a Las Cruces attorney.
