SANTA FE, NM During the New Mexico Counties Board of Directors meeting on Thursday, June 20, 2024, held during the New Mexico Counties 87th Annual Conference in Las Vegas, San Miguel County, the Board elected new leadership. They assumed their responsibilities upon adjournment of the Board meeting and annual conference.

The new officers of New Mexico Counties are President Curry County Clerk Annie Hogland, President Elect San Juan County Commissioner Terri Fortner, Vice President Roosevelt County Commissioner Tina Dixon, and Past President Eddy County Sheriff Mark Cage. Each officer will serve a one-year term. These individuals were chosen by their peer elected officials as ideal candidates to represent all 33 counties in New Mexico.

Board members also elected the following individuals to serve on the New Mexico Counties Executive Committee serving a two-year term: McKinley County Commissioner Robert Baca (District One: Los Alamos, McKinley, Rio Arriba, Sandoval, San Juan, and Santa Fe Counties). Catron County Clerk Lillie Laney (District Three: Bernalillo, Catron, Cibola, Socorro, and Valencia Counties), and Doña Ana County Clerk Amanda López Askin (District Five: Doña Ana, Grant Hidalgo, Luna, and Sierra Counties).
