The 7th edition of the Next Generation Water Summit (NGWS) takes place June 20 – 21, 2024 in Santa Fe, NM. The annual event is offered in a hybrid format, with both in-person and virtual attendance options. The 2024 theme is "Solutions in a Changing World".

The New Mexico state capitol building, known as "The Roundhouse," will host professional sessions on both Thursday and Friday. A New Mexico-focused third track joins the agenda on Friday, June 21. The NGWS sessions primarily address regional water challenges.

The opening keynote speaker is David Sedlak, author of "Water for All" and Professor at University of California, Berkeley.  "It is not your imagination; water crises are arriving at a greater frequency because the twentieth-century approach to water cannot keep up with our new reality," Sedlak stated.

Gary Klein, a pioneer in energy efficiency and renewable energy since 1974, will present his keynote on June 21st.  "I'm looking forward to the opportunity to share 50 years' worth of observations about what works, what doesn't and why water is so undervalued… and what we can do about it," said Klein.

The Next Generation Water Summit brings together the building and development community, water reuse professionals and water policymakers in a collaborative setting to share best practices and learn about innovative water conservation and water reuse techniques that can be used to comply with water conservation restrictions spreading across the Southwest.

With 24 distinct sessions led by diverse national and regional water experts, the NGWS grows in importance with every passing year as regional growth increases while water resources diminish.  It is targeted to professionals impacted by that reality but is readily accessible to the layperson who simply worries about our future.

All registrants (in-person or virtual) can attend live and on-demand sessions, and network with fellow attendees from around the world. $249 for in-person attendance. $99 for virtual attendees.  All sessions recorded and available for free for 30 days following the Summit.
