LAS CRUCES/MESILLA- The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) District One, in collaboration with Cutler Repaving Inc., will begin a nighttime milling and paving operation along NM 28, known as "Avenida de Mesilla," spanning from Watson Lane to Stern Drive. This operation may cause intermitted delays.
Beginning on Sunday, September 29, 2024, drivers should anticipate closures of shoulders and side streets to facilitate the removal and replacement of pavement. The contractor will operate from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Friday. Completion of this project is scheduled for Friday, October 25, 2024, subject to weather conditions. Detour signs will guide motorists around side street closures, which will occur primarily during working hours and will be lifted during the day.
