New Mexico State University Alumni will launch a new webinar series Feb. 24 with the debut of "Always an Aggie Live," a quarterly offering that will spotlight signature NMSU programs and traditions, as well as the people who shape the Aggie experience.
The series kicks off with guest speaker Joe Fields, NMSU athletics director, who will lead a discussion on the state of Aggie athletics. Future sessions are planned for May, July and October, with speakers and dates to be announced later this spring.
"We want every Aggie, near and far, to feel connected. This series opens the door to meaningful conversations and lasting relationships," said Mayra Marquez, assistant vice president for Alumni Relations and Annual Giving at the NMSU Foundation.
Future webinar topics will showcase the people and programs that make NMSU the top-ranked university in New Mexico, as well as subjects to engage proud Aggie alumni. The series is open to alumni of all generations, university supporters and friends, industry partners and current students.
"Kicking off 'Always an Aggie Live' is an incredible honor," Fields said. "This is more than an update on athletics; it's about inspiring Aggies everywhere as we strive for excellence and build a program that makes our university proud, dynamic and more connected than ever."
"Always an Aggie Live" complements a robust slate of other NMSU alumni engagement activities, including Aggie watch parties, chile roasts, community service events, tailgates and receptions. Alumni can also stay connected through Panorama, the printed NMSU alumni magazine, and the NMSU Foundation's alumni e-magazine Aggie Up!
