Portales, NM – March 4, 2025– Eastern New Mexico University announced today the events planned to celebrate Women's History Month on the ENMU campus.

"Women's History Month encourages us to honor and reflect on women's amazing strength and perseverance throughout history," said Charis Boone, student coordinator of the Native American Affairs Office. "This year's theme, "Everyday Stronger Than Yesterday," captures the spirit of the challenges we've overcome, the progress we're making, and the resilience that inspires us ahead."

As we honor women from all walks of life, we recognize the value of their contributions to education, art, music, and advocacy," continued Boone. "Each story we share this month has an immense effect on defining our common history and inspiring future generations."

Eastern New Mexico University has a full calendar of events to celebrate Women's History Month.

March 3 and 4 – Kickoff event at the Campus Union Building with tabling from 11:30 a.m.- 1 p.m.
March 4 – The Women Who Shaped the Journey with Mrs. Robbie Fite at the Sandia Room in the Campus Union Building at 11:30 a.m.
March 6 – Folk and Songwriter Brennyn Bohanon live in concert at the Greyhound Lounge in the Campus Union Building at 7 p.m.
March 19 – The Yazzie/Martinez Education Lawsuit presentation at the Sandia Room in the Campus Union Building at 2 p.m.
March 21 - Campus Blood Drive at the Campus Union Building Bus Lane at 10 a.m.
March 24 – Three Contemporary Women Artists You Should Know at the Sandia Room in the Campus Union Building at 2 p.m.
March 25 – Creating Paper Flowers with Moria Ortiz in the Campus Union Building Multicultural Center at 6 p.m.
March 27 – Mexico Career Diplomat Patricia Pinzon's presentation at the Sandia Room of the Campus Union Building at 2 p.m.
