Portales, NM – March 12, 2025 – Eastern New Mexico University Chancellor James Johnston is set to host his first-ever "State of the University" event at the Anderson Museum of Contemporary Art in Roswell, New Mexico, on Friday, March 21, at 6 p.m.
"I am looking forward to seeing alumni and friends as I get to share all the good things happening across the ENMU system," said James Johnston, ENMU Chancellor. "I will also share my vision for the ENMU system and my thoughts on how we can keep the ENMU system strong in the future. "
ENMU Chancellor James Johnston will discuss the past year's successes, which include ENMU's growth, which continues to buck national trends and reflects strategic investments in student life and the strengthening and advancement of Eastern's academic mission.
The Chancellor will also provide updates from all three campuses about the One Eastern Initiative, the university's capital projects, ENMU's continued success partnering with the State of New Mexico, and Eastern's rapidly growing philanthropic infrastructure and revenue, as well as share a reimagining of alumni engagement.
In addition to ENMU's recent successes, the Chancellor will also highlight significant plans for the future and shine a light on the bright future ahead for the Eastern New Mexico University system.
