Portales, NM – March 21, 2025 – Eastern New Mexico University is set to launch a one-of-a-kind virtual alumni engagement platform targeted to Greyhounds everywhere, titled "The Silver Pack," during the 2025 State of the University address on Friday, March 21 at the Anderson Museum of Contemporary Art in Roswell, NM.
The new "Silver Pack" platform reaches back across history to propel ENMU into the future. The namesake of the former university yearbook printed from 1936 to 2008, the Silver Pack will be a dynamic and interactive engagement platform where Greyhounds can help co-create content, volunteer, find and host events, and connect with their schools, departments, professors, and current students.
"Developing and launching The Silver Pack has been a passion project over the last year for the whole advancement team, but specifically for our web and design teams. Integrating with our alumni print publication, Green and Silver, The Silver Pack, will enable ENMU to feature dynamic content across multiple platforms and act as a way for Greyhounds to reconnect to the areas of the university they care most about," said Warren Lloyd, Vice President for Advancement and Public Relations. "The Silver Pack was built for alumni, faculty, and staff participation, so it truly reflects the dynamic changes and the deep traditions of what it means to be One Eastern. I couldn't be prouder of the Silver Pack team, who worked tirelessly to make The Silver Pack happen."
The new Silver Pack website features dedicated webpages for all Greyhounds to interact with, which include:
An interactive homepage featuring videos, Greyhound success stories, and a full calendar of annual alumni events.
The Hound Happenings page features compelling stories and videos highlighting all Greyhound newsmakers and success stories locally, regionally, nationally, and globally.
The Answering the Call page allows Greyhounds to submit stories highlighting their journey to success and their unique challenges or to share their perspectives. There will also be opportunities for alumni to answer the call to volunteer, support current and future Greyhounds, and connect with students and professors in their classes.
The website's archive section will pay respect to ENMU's history. Envisioned as a dynamic archive, Greyhounds will be able to find Silver Pack yearbook archives, The Chase student newspaper archives, El Portal archives, the Green and Silver alumni magazine archives, a timeline of ENMU history, and the 90th-anniversary video highlighting the first 90 years of ENMU, as well as highlighting past events and stories with which fellow Greyhounds have participated, attended or hosted.
