PORTALES, NM – February 3, 2025 – Eastern New Mexico University released enrollment data on Monday, February 3, 2025, for Spring 2025; the results showed continued enrollment growth on the main campus, with spring enrollment up 5.2 percent over spring 2024 Undergraduate enrollment numbers are at 3,899 students, a 3.7 percent increase from spring 2024, with student credit hours at the undergraduate level increasing by 9.3 percent. ENMU also saw a 6.5 percent increase in transfer students from spring 2024 to spring 2025.
Graduate student enrollment is also up from spring 2024 by 9.6 percent, with 1,479 graduate students currently enrolled and student credit hours at the graduate level increasing by 13.2 percent. "As ENMU continues its growth semester over semester and year over year, I express my appreciation to all the faculty and staff efforts to help students enroll and attend ENMU," said James Johnston, ENMU Chancellor. "This continued growth underscores the importance of ENMU in our region and the country to provide access to higher education and opportunity for students to earn a college degree." ENMU continues to see increases in its students attending in-person classes at the University, with resident halls and on-campus apartments running close to capacity this spring. This marks the fourth consecutive spring of overall enrollment growth for the University.
