La Sociedad para Las Artes at New Mexico State University will host a public reading event for authors Danielle Dutton and Martin Riker as part of the Nelson-Boswell Reading Series, which invites visiting writers to NMSU to share their work with the community. The series is named in honor of writers Antonya Nelson and Robert Boswell, who began their teaching careers at NMSU.
Danielle Dutton's work has appeared in "The New Yorker," "The Paris Review" and "Harper's" among many others. She is co-founder and editor of the award-winning indie press Dorothy, a publishing project that is dedicated to works of fiction, or near fiction, or about fiction, mostly by women. Dutton is the author of novels "Attempts at a Life," "Margaret the First" and "SPRAWL." Martin Riker is the author of two novels, "The Guest Lecture" and "Samuel Johnson's Eternal Return." His critiques and reviews of literature appear in the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal. After spending a decade as the associate director of the nonprofit literary press Dalkey Archive, in 2009 Riker co-founded (with Danielle Dutton) the independent feminist press Dorothy.

Authors will read from their respective works. A reception will follow the readings at New Mexico Vintage Wines, 2310 Avenida de Mesilla.
