I-25 Roadway Rehabilitation Project, Mile Marker 58 to 78, CaballoCN1102160

Mountain States Constructors, Inc. (Contractor) will be finalizing a roadway rehabilitation project on Interstate 25 from milepost 58(Caballo) to milepost 78 (Las Palomas) in Sierra County. Drivers can expect various daytime lane closures on the Northbound and Southbound lanes for paving operations. A 12-foot width restriction is in place throughout the project; oversized loads will require a permit. The contractor's hours of operation will be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. 

I-25 Roadway Rehabilitation Project, Mile Marker 115 to 125, Socorro County CN1102180

FNF Inc. (Contractor) will be continuing a roadway rehabilitation project on I-25 between Socorro and T or C. Drivers can expect various daytime lane closures on both the Northbound and Southbound lanes as needed for milling and paving operations. A 12-foot width restriction is in place throughout the project; oversized loads will require a permit.  The contractor's hours of operation will be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. 

I-10 Alert, Mile Marker 24, Lordsburg

The I-10 bridge is under repair at exit 24, Eastbound traffic must utilize exits 20 (Lordsburg West) or 22 (Lordsburg Main Street) for access to business. Contractor is currently fabricating bridge girders for repairs. This closure will be in place indefinitely.

I-10 Roadway Rehabilitation Project, Mile Marker 35 to 44, Separ CN1101900

Mountain States Constructors, Inc. (Contractor) will be continuing a roadway rehabilitation project on Interstate 10 from milepost 35 (10 miles east of Lordsburg) to milepost 44 (Separ) in Grant County. Drivers can expect various daytime lane closures on both the eastbound and westbound lanes as needed for milling and paving operations. A 12' width restriction is in place throughout the project, overside loads will need to be permitted. Areas of construction may be heavily congested. The contractor's hours of operation will be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. 

I-10 Bridge & Roadway Rehabilitation Project, Mile Marker 140 to 143, Las Cruces CNLC00371

La Calerita Construction, LLC. (Contractor) will be finalizing a bridge rehabilitation project on I-10 over the University Ave Interchange, milepost 141.  All lanes are now open, if needed the contractor may have temporary lane closures in place for final repairs. Lighting will be installed in the next few weeks. The contractor's work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The project is expected to be completed by September 2025.

US Roadways:

US 70 Roadway Rehabilitation, Mile Marker 149 to 150 Las Cruces LC00271

El Terrero Construction, LLC. (Contractor) is finalizing the project to make roadway improvements to US 70 North Main Street between Spitz/N. Solano Drive and the intersection of N. Triviz Drive/Elks Drive. The Alameda Arroyo Trail crossing is now open. Seeding will begin in the next few weeks. Lanes closure will be required as needed for project finalization. Regular work hours are Monday-Friday 7 a.m.-5 p.m. This project is expected to be completed by the end of July 2025, visit www.us70mainstreet.com

US 70 Roadway Rehabilitation, Mile Marker 162 to 150, Las CrucesLC00440

Mesa Verde Enterprises, Inc. (Contractor) has continued the roadway rehabilitation project on US 70 from MP 151.5 to 161 (Roadrunner exit to town of Organ). This project will require lane closures on both the Eastbound and Westbound lanes, as well as the on/off ramps in both directions for rumble strips, hot thermal striping, concrete and installation of permanent impact attenuator operations. Construction activities will be in place from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. late Sunday night to Friday morning.  This project is expected to be completed by mid to late August 2025, weather pending.

US 180 Roadway Reconstruction Project, Mile Marker 123 to 128, Hurley, CN#1101841

Mountain States Constructors, Inc., (Contractor) will be continuing with the roadway reconstruction project along US 180 from milepost 123.13 in Bayard to milepost 128.27 in Hurley. Traffic has been shifted into the eastbound lanes so construction can continue in the westbound lanes. A flagging operation will be in place with up to a 15-minute wait time. Please be aware that Lime Quarry Rd has a detour in place, follow detour signage. Speed limits are reduced throughout the project to 45 mph; this project is a double fine zone. The contractor's working hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and crews may work on Saturdays. This reconstruction project is expected to take just over a year to complete, depending on weather conditions.

US 180, Mile Marker 90 to 110, west of Silver City

Dustrol, Inc., (Contractor), has completed the Hot-In-Place Recycling project along US 180 from milepost 87 (Riverside) to milepost 110 (west of Silver City). Pavement stripes are not present. Contractor will be in place early fall 2025 to begin the top asphalt placement. 

US 180, Mile Marker 164 to 161, Deming 

Cutler Repaving Inc., (Contractor) will be continuing with the roadway reconstruction project along US 180 from mile marker 164 (Deming) to mile marker 161 (end of 4-lane at Riffle Range Road). This structural pavement treatment involves removing the current asphalt layer and replacing it with new pavement to improve road conditions and extend roadway life. During construction, single-lane closures will be in place in both Eastbound and Westbound directions. Motorists should expect delays and are urged to plan travel accordingly. Construction will take place Monday through Sunday, from 6am to 8pm. This project is scheduled to be completed by the end of July 2025.

US 180 Signalization, Lighting Project, Mile Marker 113.140 to 118.951, Silver City CN#1101841

RT Electric, Inc. (Contractor) will begin installation of roadway lighting and signalization along US 180 in Arenas Valley. Shoulder work will be in place for the contractor to trench for conduit installation. Areas of narrow shoulders may require lane closures. Contractors' working hours are Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and they may work on Saturdays, depending on the weather conditions. This project is expected to be completed by winter 2025. 

US 180 Signalization Project, US 180 and Gold at Railroad, Pine, Cedar & Ash St., Deming

RT Electric, Inc. (Contractor) will begin installation of roadway signalization, curb & gutter, new ADA ramps, median curbs, signage and striping along US 180 and Gold Street at Railroad, Pine, Cedar and Ash St. Shoulder work and lane closures will be in place for the safety of the contractor and traveling public. Sidewalk closures should be expected. Contractors' working hours are Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. This project is expected to be completed by December 2025. 

State Roadways:

NM 101, University Ave Multimodal Project, Mesilla LC00290

La Calerita Construction, LLC. (Contractor) will be continuing the multi-modal project on University Avenue/New Mexico State Road 101 from Avenida de Mesilla to South Main Street. Crews will reopen one westbound lane of University Avenue/NM 101 near Zia Middle School on Monday, July 27, 2025, as work continues Phase 2 of the University Avenue/NM 101 Multimodal Project. During Phase 2, expected to last through December 2025, the following detours are in place: Only ONE lane of westbound traffic is allowed on University Avenue/NM 101 between South Main Street and Avenida de Mesilla. Eastbound traffic is detoured to West Union Avenue and South Main Street to access University/NM 101. Regular work hours are Monday-Friday 7 a.m.-4:30 p.m. although the contractor may work longer hours or on weekends as needed. Additional construction will follow this phase, with the project expected to be completed in fall 2026. NM 101, University Ave Multimodal Project, Mesilla 

Hasse Contracting Company (Contractor) will be beginning a bridge deck sealing project on University Avenue, spanning I-25, will begin soon to help prolong the life of the structure. Work is set to start on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 7:00 AM and will continue until Sunday, August 3, 2025, at 5:00 PM. During this time, there will be lane closures on both the eastbound and westbound sides of University Avenue as needed. Speed limits will also be reduced in the work zone.

NM 273, Utility Work, Mile Marker 8 to 9, Santa Teresa

Nine Degree Construction (Contractor) will have lane closures in place on NM 273 and NM 136 for Utility placement. Speed limits will be reduced, please obey traffic control devices. The contractor's hours of operation will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Drivers should expect delays and plan accordingly. This project is expected to be completed by October 27, 2025. 

NM 273, Multi-Use Trail, Mile Marker 5 to 6, Santa Teresa

Nine Degree Construction (Contractor) will have lane closures in place on NM 273 from mile marker 5 to 6 for the installation of a Multi-use Trail. This project includes curb & gutter, asphalt paving, concrete trail reconstruction, landscaping, irrigation, and striping. Speed limits will be reduced, please obey traffic control devices. The contractor's hours of operation will be from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. This project is expected to be completed by October 8, 2025. 

NM 225, Utility Work, Mile Marker 0 to 1.6, Santa Teresa

Morrow Enterprises, Inc. (Contractor) will be installing a new sewer line along NM 255. Should work signage will be in place with occasion lanes closures as needed. Contractors' working hours are from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. This project is expected to be completed by August 13, 2025. 

NM 11, Box Culvert, Mile Marker .08, Columbus Port of Entry

Morrow Ent. Inc. (Contractor)has begun constructing a concrete box at the intersection of NM 11 and El Paso Ave, just north of the Port of Entry. Speed limits will be reduced, please obey traffic control devices. The contractor's hours of operation will be from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. 

Chip Seal Projects, Luna Co:

The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will be continuing with Chip seal operations on roadways in the Columbus and Deming areas of Luna County. During operations, drivers can expect flagging personnel, pilot vehicles, and temporary stops. Brooming will occur during and after the sealing process. Loose gravel may remain on road surfaces for a few days post-treatment. Speed limits are reduced to 35 mph for the safety of the traveling public. Casa Linda Acres Subdivision

As part of the Casa Linda Acres Reconstruction Project, Spartan Construction of NM, LLC, will be maintaining road closures on Avenida Blanco from South Valley Drive to Calle Del Encanto, and on Calle Del Sol from Avenida de Mesilla to West Brown Road. Closures will be implemented through September 26, 2025. Access will be maintained for residents; motorists are urged to follow all posted signs.

East Mesa Roads & Drainage - Cortez Drive Improvements 

As part of the Cortez Drive Improvements, roadway, storm drainage, and utility improvements will be conducted by Caliper Construction (Contractor) on Cortez Drive between Porter Drive and Dunn Drive. Cortez will be closed to through traffic. Detours will be in place directing traffic around the road closure. Access will be maintained for residents; motorists are urged to follow all posted signs. The entire project is estimated to be completed by December 2025. 

Madrid Avenue Extension Project

As part of the Madrid Avenue Extension project, Morrow Enterprises, Inc. will be doing roadway and utility work on Madrid Avenue. Morrow Enterprises will be maintaining a road closure on Madrid Avenue between Evelyn Street and Triviz Avenue. Detours will be in place directing traffic around the work zone. The closure will be implemented through August 29, 2025. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses. Commuters are urged to follow all posted signs.
