I-25 Roadway Rehabilitation Project, Mile Marker 58 to 78, Caballo CN1102160
Mountain States Constructors, Inc. (Contractor) will be continuing a roadway rehabilitation project on Interstate 25 from milepost 58(Caballo) to milepost 78 (Las Palomas) in Sierra County. Drivers can expect various daytime lane closures on the Northbound and Southbound lanes for paving operations. A 12-foot width restriction is in place throughout the project, oversized loads will require a permit. The contractor's hours of operation will be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

FNF Inc. (Contractor) will be continuing a roadway rehabilitation project on I-25 between Socorro and T or C. Drivers can expect various daytime lane closures on both the Northbound and Southbound lanes as needed for milling and paving operations. A 12-foot width restriction is in place throughout the project; oversized loads will require a permit. The contractor's hours of operation will be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
University Bridges (over Triviz and I-25), Bridge Preservation Project
Hasse Contracting Company Inc. (Contractor) will be continuing a bridge preservation project on the University Avenue bridges over I-25 and Triviz. Lane closures will be in place as needed. This project is expected to be completed by end of July 2025.
I-10 Alert, Mile Marker 24, Lordsburg
The I-10 bridge is under repair at exit 24, Eastbound traffic must utilize exits 20 (Lordsburg West) or 22 (Lordsburg Main Street) for access to business. This closure will be in place indefinitely.
I-10 Roadway Resurfacing Project, Mile Marker 146 to 164.3, Las Cruces to Anthony
Brasier Asphalt Inc., (Contractor), has completed the resurfacing project in Dona Ana Co. The striping contractor is scheduled to be on site from mid-to late June to complete striping. Traffic may be slow moving while stripers are in place.
I-10 Bridge & Roadway Rehabilitation Project, Mile Marker 140 to 143, Las Cruces CNLC00371
La Calerita Construction, LLC. (Contractor) will be continuing a bridge rehabilitation project on I-10 over the University Ave Interchange, milepost 141. This project includes bridge rehabilitation, roadway reconstruction and lighting. The contractor has shifted traffic back into the eastbound and westbound driving lanes. The passing (inside) lanes will remain closed. The eastbound and westbound on/off-ramps will be reopened to traffic. Speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH throughout the project area. The contractor's work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The project is expected to be completed by August 2025.
US Roadways:
US 70 Roadway Rehabilitation, Mile Marker 149 to 150 Las Cruces LC00271
El Terrero Construction, LLC. (Contractor) is finalizing the project to make roadway improvements to US 70 North Main Street between Spitz/N. Solano Drive and the intersection of N. Triviz Drive/Elks Drive. The Alameda Arroyo Trail crossing remains closed to complete dirt work and rock placement. Various lane closure may be required to finalize this project. Regular work hours are Monday-Friday 7 a.m.-5 p.m. This project is expected to be completed by end of July 2025, visit www.us70mainstreet.com.
US 70 Roadway Rehabilitation, Mile Marker 162 to 150, Las CrucesLC00440
Mesa Verde Enterprises, Inc. (Contractor) has continued the roadway rehabilitation project on US 70 from MP 151.5 to 161 (Roadrunner exit to town of Organ). This project will require lane closures on both the Eastbound and Westbound lanes, as well as the on/off ramps in both directions for milling, paving, ROGFC, rumble strips, hot thermal striping, concrete and installation of permanent impact attenuator operations. Construction activities will be in place on weeknights from 6PM to 6AM Monday night to Friday Morning. This project is expected to be completed by mid to late July 2025, weather pending.
US 180 Roadway Reconstruction Project, Mile Marker 123 to 128, Hurley, CN#1101841
Mountain States Constructors, Inc., (Contractor) will be continuing with the roadway reconstruction project along US 180 from MP 123.13 in Bayard to Milepost 128.27 in Hurley. Traffic has been shifted into the Eastbound lanes so construction can continue in the Westbound lanes. A flagging operation will be in place with up to a 15-minute wait time. Please be aware that Lime Quarry Rd has a detour in place, follow detour signage. Speed limits are reduced throughout the project to 45 mph, this project is a double fine zone. The contractor's working hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and may work on Saturdays. This reconstruction project is expected to take just over a year to complete, depending on weather conditions.
US 180, Mile Marker 164 to 161, Deming
Cutler Repaving Inc., (Contractor) will be continuing with the roadway reconstruction project along US 180 from mile marker 164 (Deming) to mile marker 161 (end of 4-lane at Riffle Range Road). This structural pavement treatment involves removing the current asphalt layer and replacing it with new pavement to improve road conditions and extend roadway life. During construction, single-lane closures will be in place in both Eastbound and Westbound directions. Motorists should expect delays and are urged to plan travel accordingly. Construction will take place Monday through Sunday, from 6am to 8pm. This project is scheduled to be completed by July 2025.
State Roadways:
NM 101, University Ave Multimodal Project, Mesilla LC00290
La Calerita Construction, LLC. (Contractor) will be continuing the multi-modal project on University Avenue/New Mexico State Road 101 from Avenida de Mesilla to South Main Street. NM 101 (University Avenue) will be COMPLETELY CLOSED so that crews can work on the roadway as well storm drainage improvements. The closure is planned while Zia Middle School is closed for the summer. During this closure, motorists can use McDowell Place to access University Avenue. Access will be maintained to all residences. Regular work hours are Monday-Friday 7 a.m.-4:30 p.m. although the contractor may work longer hours or on weekends as needed. NM 1 Channel Erosion Mitigation, Bridge Preservation Mile Marker 60.340 to 60.435, Socorro

Traffic can expect a temporary traffic signal in place with only one lane open over the bridge. Speed limits will be reduced, please obey traffic control devices. NM 273, Utility Work, Mile Marker 8 to 9, Santa Teresa
Nine Degree Construction (Contractor) will have lane closures in place on NM 273 and NM 136 for Utility placement. Speed limits will be reduced, please obey traffic control devices. The contractor's hours of operation will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Drivers should expect delays and plan accordingly. This project is expected to be completed by October 27, 2025.
Chip Seal Projects, Hidalgo & Grant Co:
The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will be continuing with Chip seal operations on roadways in the Columbus and Deming areas of Luna County. During operations, drivers can expect flagging personnel, pilot vehicles, and temporary stops. Brooming will occur during and after the sealing process. Loose gravel may remain on road surfaces for a few days post-treatment. Speed limits are reduced to 35 mph for the safety of the traveling public. Work will take place Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Note that center striping will be absent in work zones until completion. Casa Linda Acres Subdivision
As part of the Casa Linda Acres Reconstruction Project, Spartan Construction of NM, LLC, will be maintaining road closures on Avenida Blanco from South Valley Drive to Calle Del Encanto, and on Calle Del Sol from Avenida de Mesilla to West Brown Road. Closures will be implemented through September 26, 2025. Access will be maintained for residents; motorists are urged to follow all posted signs.
East Mesa Roads & Drainage - Cortez Drive Improvements
As part of the Cortez Drive Improvements, roadway, storm drainage, and utility improvements will be conducted by Caliper Construction (Contractor) on Cortez Drive between Porter Drive and Dunn Drive. Cortez will be closed to through traffic. Detours will be in place directing traffic around the road closure. Access will be maintained for residents; motorists are urged to follow all posted signs. The entire project is estimated to be completed by December 2025.
Madrid Avenue Extension Project
As part of the Madrid Avenue Extension project, Morrow Enterprises, Inc. will be doing roadway and utility work on Madrid Avenue. Morrow Enterprises will be maintaining a road closure on Madrid Avenue between Evelyn Street and Triviz Avenue. Detours will be in place directing traffic around the work zone. The closure will be implemented through August 29, 2025. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses. Commuters are urged to follow all posted signs.
