La Calerita LLC. (Contractor)continues project finalization for the I-25 Business Loop Reconstruction Project in Truth or Consequences. Intermittent lane closure will be in place for rock placement, seeding and project finalization. Motorists are encouraged to use extra caution in the construction zone and obey lower posted speed limits. Regular work hours will be 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday, this project is expected to be completed by June 14th.
I-25 Bridge Replacement Project, Williamsburg CN1100990
El Terrero Construction, LLC. (Contractor) will be continuing construction to replace the bridge at I-25 milepost 75, Broadway Street and NM 187 in Williamsburg. Traffic has been shifted into the northbound lanes with the on/off ramps open, access to the southbound on/off ramps is still closed. Currently crews are working on installation of southbound on/off ramps, bridge painting, and drainage structures. Regular work hours will be 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday although the contractor may work longer hours or on weekends as needed. Access will be maintained to all businesses and residences during construction.
I-25 Bridge Rehabilitation, Mile Markers 63 & 139 Caballo/ San AntonioCN1102040R
Kimo Constructors, Inc. (Contractor) will begin working on the bridges on I-25 at Caballo (Green Horn milepost 63) and at San Antonio (Walnut Creek milepost 139). This project consists of bridge reconstruction, erosion control and drainage. The contractor's hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
I-25 Erosion Control, Mile Markers 35.2, 35.58, & 43.27 Hatch/Rincon
Kimo Constructors, Inc. (Contractor) will begin work on erosion control along I-25 between Rincon and Hatch. The contractor will be working on the southbound off ramp and Rincon (exit 35) and near milepost 43, I-25 may be reduced to a single lane depending on the work location, drivers should be vigilant for construction signing. The contractor's hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
I-25 Roadway Rehabilitation Project, Mile Marker 140 to 150, north of SocorroCN1101930
Mountain States Constructors, Inc. (Contractor) has completed the roadway rehabilitation project on Interstate 25 from milepost 150 (Socorro North) to milepost 161 (Chamizal). Subcontractors are continuing with the replacement of guardrail. Motorists can expect lane closures on both the northbound and southbound lanes as needed. The contractor's hours of operation will be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
I-25 Landscaping Project, Mile Marker 2.5 to 3.7, Las Cruces LC00360
Grass Masters LLC (Contractor) is continuing a landscaping, curb and gutter, miscellaneous construction, and paving project along I-25 from milepost 3 to milepost 3.7 near Lohman Ave in Las Cruces. Crews will be working on the wall foundations and wall footing along the I-25 northbound and southbound interchange and on/off ramp. Most construction will be on the shoulders with little impact to travelers. The contractor's hours of operation will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
I-10 Axle Sensor replacement at Weigh Station, Mile Marker 24, Lordsburg
Bixby Electric (Contractor) will be replacing the weigh Station Axle sensor on the I-10 eastbound weigh station off ramp. The exit will be closed, and traffic can expect shoulder work as needed. This project will begin June 10th and is expected to be completed by June 14, 2024. Contractors' working hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
I-10 Roadway Rehabilitation Project, Mile Marker 0 to 15, Lordsburg CN1102080
Mountain States Constructors, Inc. (Contractor) is continuing with the roadway rehabilitation project on Interstate 10 from milepost 0 (Arizona Stateline) to milepost 15 (Gary) in Hidalgo County. Drivers can expect various daytime lane closures on both the eastbound and westbound lanes as needed for milling and paving operations. Overnight lane closure may be in place for the placement of the concrete wall barrier and guardrail installations. The contractor's hours of operation will be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
US Roadways:
US 70 Roadway Rehabilitation, Las Cruces
El Terrero Construction, LLC. (Contractor) is continuing a project to make roadway improvements to US 70 North Main Street between Spitz/N. Solano Drive and the intersection of N. Triviz Drive/Elks Drive. Traffic on the east side of US 70 North Main has one lane open from North Solano Drive to North Triviz Drive. Traffic in the area of the Alameda Arroyo is moved to the west side of the road with one lane in each direction. The speed limit is reduced to 35 miles per hour throughout the construction zone. For the safety of the traveling public, the Alameda Arroyo trail crossing remains CLOSED. Motorists are encouraged to use extra caution in the construction zone, obey lower posted speed limits and allow extra time to reach their destinations. Regular work hours are Monday-Friday 7 a.m.-5 p.m., although the contractor may work longer hours or on weekends if needed. US 70 Roadway Rehabilitation, Las Cruces
Mesa Verde Enterprises, Inc. (Contractor) will be continuing the nighttime roadway rehabilitation project on US 70 from Del Rey Blvd. to Nasa Rd. just east of Las Cruces. Crews will begin milling and paving from Nasa Rd working westbound. The Sub-contractor is removing and replacing outdated guardrail, curb & gutter along various locations on US 70 working west. Working hours will be from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Friday. Traffic control and lanes closures will be in place for the safety of our crews and the traveling public during working hours.
State Roadways:
NM 15, NM 35 Chip Sealing, Grant Co.
Highland Enterprise Inc. (Contractor) will be continuing a maintenance operation project to place "chip seal" pavement on NM 35, and NM 15 in Grant County. NM 15 is closed from milepost 10 (Ben Lilly) to milepost 25 (NM 15/NM 35 intersection). NM 15 traffic will need to detour utilizing NM 152 and NM 35 to access the Gila Hot Springs and Gila Cliff Dwellings. NM 15 is not expected to reopen until June 12th, crews will then finish working north with a pilot car operation to milepost 30, just south of Gila Hot Springs.
Beginning on or about June 13th NM 35 will have a daily closure in place with a pilot car operation in 5-mile increments working from the NM 15/NM 35 intersection continuing southeast to the NM35/NM 152 intersection. All roadways are expected to be completed and reopened by June 30th.
NM 359 Bridge Rehabilitation, Mesilla
AUI, Inc. (Contractor) will continue the bridge rehabilitation project on NM 359 at milepost 1.90 over the Rio Grande. Drivers are asked to please obey traffic control devices if placed and be on the lookout for workers and/or equipment entering and exiting the roadway, various lanes closures may be in place as needed. The contractor's hours of operation will be 24 hours Monday through Saturday.
NM 26 Bridge Rehabilitation, Hatch
La Calerita Construction (Contractor) will continue with bridge rehabilitation work on NM 26 at milepost 47.7 over Interstate 25. NM 26 eastbound/westbound lanes may be closed daily for bridge repairs, a detour will be in place. Â I-25 may have occasional lanes closures in either the northbound or southbound lanes. Daily working hours are Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Chip Seal Projects, Hidalgo & Grant Co:
The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will be starting the 2024 season "Chip Sealing and Brooming" operations in Hidalgo Co. in and around Animas and Hachita. Speed limits will be reduced, no center stripe with loose gravel on roadway. Roadways listed below are scheduled for chip sealing & fog sealing operations.Â

City of Las Cruces Projects:
Sonoma Ranch Blvd.
As part of the Sonoma Ranch Mile 1 Construction Project, Sonoma Ranch Boulevard is reduced to one lane in each direction between Sierra Ventana Avenue and Sirocco Avenue while roadway improvements are being completed. The intersection of Peachtree Hills Road and Sonoma Ranch Boulevard will be closed for approximately 1.5 months while utility and roadway improvements are being completed. Detours will be in place directing traffic around the road closure. Commuters are urged to follow all posted signs. The entire project is estimated to be completed by June 2024.
Bellamah Drive
Las Cruces Motorist are advised that Bellamah Dr. from S. Locust St. to S. Lees Dr. will be continuing with utility improvements and roadway improvements by A-Mountain Construction (Contractor) as part of the City of Las Cruces Bellamah Drive Reconstruction Project. Construction and the road closure is estimated to last until approximately June 2024 for phase 2. Resident access will be maintained at all times. Signage and detours will be present directing traffic around the work zone.
West Picacho Avenue (US 70)
Las Cruces motorists are advised that West Picacho Avenue (US 70) from 3rd Street to 5th Street will have lane closures in the westbound, and eastbound, outside lanes. Additionally, 4th Street will be closed to access West Picacho Avenue. The closures will be in place during working hours, 7 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday, and are estimated to last through June 2024.
