Interstates:
I-25 Business Loop ADA Improvements, Williamsburg to T or C
A Mountain Construction, (Contractor) will be continuing the ADA ramps along the I-25 Business Loop on Date Street, Broadway and Main Street. Drivers should anticipate occasional closures of shoulders and side streets to facilitate the removal and replacement of concrete at specific intersections. The contractor will operate from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. This phase of construction is expected to take three months to complete and is subject to weather conditions. Paving operations will commence mid to late December. Further details on this phase will be provided closer to the start of construction.
I-25 Bridge Replacement Project, Williamsburg CN1100990
El Terrero Construction, LLC. (Contractor) will be finalizing construction to replace the bridge at I-25 milepost 75, Broadway Street and NM 187 in Williamsburg. The northbound lanes may have intermittent lane closures for striping and signage installation, southbound lanes are complete and open. Regular work hours are 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Motorists should expect delays and allow extra time to reach their destinations. Motorists should also use extra caution in the construction area. Access will be maintained to all businesses and residences.
I-25 Bridge Rehabilitation, Mile Markers 63 & 139 Caballo/ San AntonioCN1102040R
Kimo Constructors, Inc. (Contractor) will be continuing work on the bridges on I-25 at Caballo (Green Horn milepost 63) and at San Antonio (Walnut Creek milepost 139). This project consists of bridge rehabilitation, erosion control and drainage. The contractor's hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
I-25 Erosion Control, Mile Markers 35.2, 35.58, & 43.27 Hatch/Rincon
Kimo Constructors, Inc. (Contractor) will be continuing with erosion control along I-25 between Rincon and Hatch. The contractor will be working on the southbound off ramp and Rincon (Exit 35) and near milepost 43. I-25 may be reduced to a single lane depending on the work location. Drivers should be vigilant for construction signing. The contractor's hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
I-25 Roadway Rehabilitation Project, Mile Marker 140 to 150, SocorroCN1101930
Mountain States Constructors, Inc. (Contractor) will be finalizing the roadway rehabilitation project on Interstate 25 from milepost 140 (Socorro South) to milepost 150 (Socorro North). Contractor will be placing the top layer of pavement, striping and signage. Please use caution for large slow-moving equipment exiting and entering the roadway. The subcontractors are continuing with the replacement of guardrail on the northbound lanes and at exit 147. Overnight lane closures may remain in place as needed. The contractor's hours of operation will be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
I-25 Bridge Repairs, Mile Marker 92
Highway Maintainers will be making bridge repairs on I-25 at milepost 92 (Mitchell Point). The northbound driving lane will have a continuous closure as well as NM 1 westbound lane at milepost 0. Motorists are asked to reduce speed, obey posted signs, and be cautious of personnel and equipment in the areas listed below. These closures will remain in place until repairs can be made.
I-10 Roadway Rehabilitation Project, Mile Marker 64 to 75, Deming CN1101890
Mountain States Constructors, Inc. (Contractor) will be beginning a roadway rehabilitation project on Interstate 10 from milepost 64 (Gage) to milepost 75 (just west of Deming) in Luna County. Drivers can expect various daytime lane closures on both the eastbound and westbound lanes as needed for milling and paving operations. Overnight lane closure may be in place for the placement of the concrete wall barrier and guardrail installations. The contractor's hours of operation will be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
I-10 Roadway Resurfacing Project, Mile Marker 146 to 164.3, Las Cruces to Anthony
Brasier Asphalt Inc., (Contractor) will be continuing a roadway resurfacing project on Interstate 10 in Dona Ana County from milepost 164.3 (NM/TX Stateline) to 146 (east of Las Cruces). Drivers should anticipate lane closures in the westbound lanes throughout the weekend from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Starting Monday November 18, 2024, this project will go into winter suspension until Spring 2025.
I-10 Bridge & Roadway Rehabilitation Project, Mile Marker 140 to 143, Las Cruces CNLC00371
La Calerita Construction, LLC. (Contractor) will be continuing a bridge rehabilitation project on I-10 over the University Ave Interchange, milepost 141. This project includes bridge rehabilitation, roadway reconstruction and lighting. Traffic has been shifted into the eastbound lanes with the westbound lanes and on/off ramp closed for bridge construction. The speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH throughout the project. The contractor's working hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
US Roadways:
US 70 Roadway Rehabilitation, Mile Marker 149 to 150 Las Cruces LC00271
El Terrero Construction, LLC. (Contractor) is continuing a project to make roadway improvements to US 70 North Main Street between Spitz/N. Solano Drive and the intersection of N. Triviz Drive/Elks Drive. All traffic has been placed on the new east bound lanes of US 70 (2 lanes open east bound and 1 lane open west bound) and the existing westbound lanes will be closed for construction. The speed limit is reduced to 35 miles per hour throughout the construction zone. For the safety of the traveling public, the Alameda Arroyo trail crossing remains CLOSED. Motorists are encouraged to use extra caution in the construction zone, obey lower posted speed limits and allow extra time to reach their destinations. Regular work hours are Monday-Friday 7 a.m.-5 p.m., although the contractor may work longer hours or on weekends if needed. US 70 Roadway Rehabilitation, Mile Marker 162 to 150, Las CrucesLC00440
Mesa Verde Enterprises, Inc. (Contractor) US 70 from MP 153 to 161 (Mesa Grande to town of Organ) will have a mobile operation traffic control set up for permanent striping operations for next week from 7AM to 6PM. The on/off ramps for each exit (Mesa Grande to town of Organ) will be periodically closed for permanent stripe of gores and arrows. Traffic will be redirected to the nearest exit and turn around on Frontage Road to get to their destination.
US 70 Fog Sealing Operations, Mile Marker 161.1 to 179.1, Las Cruces
Highway maintainers will begin fog sealing operations along US 70 from milepost 161.1 (Organ) to 179.1 (Dona ana/Otero County line) near Las Cruces. Drivers can expect lane closures in both eastbound and westbound lanes from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Use caution for workers and equipment in the area, speed limits will be reduced. Completion of this project is scheduled for Wednesday, December 4, 2024, and is subject to weather conditions.
US 180 Roadway Reconstruction Project, Mile Marker 123 to 128, Hurley, CN#1101841
Mountain States Constructors, Inc., (Contractor) will be continuing with the roadway reconstruction project along US 180 from 123.13 in Bayard to milepost 128.27 in Hurley. Drivers should anticipate daytime lane closures in both the eastbound and westbound lanes as necessary near the railroad tracks and cleaning and grubbing along the westbound lanes. Work hours will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. This reconstruction project is expected to take just over a year to complete, depending on weather conditions.
State Roadways:
NM 28 Roadway Improvement Project, Mile Markers 27 to 29, Mesilla
Mountain States Constructors (Contractor) will be continuing a nighttime milling and paving operation along NM 28, known as "Avenida de Mesilla," spanning from Watson Lane to Stern Drive. This operation may cause intermitted delays. Drivers should anticipate closures of shoulders and side streets to facilitate the removal and replacement of pavement. The contractor will operate from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m., Sunday through Friday morning and subject to weather conditions. Detour signs will guide motorists around side street closures, which will occur primarily during working hours and will be lifted during the day.
Chip Seal Projects, Hidalgo & Grant Co:
The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) has completed "Fog Sealing and Brooming" operations in Hidalgo Co. Speed limits will remain reduced. NM 81 & NM 146 are scheduled to be striped as soon as temperatures allow.
City of Las Cruces Projects:
Casa Linda Acres Subdivision
As part of the Casa Linda Acres Reconstruction Project, Spartan Construction of NM, LLC, will be maintaining road closures on Avenida Blanco from South Valley Drive to Calle Del Encanto, and on Calle Del Sol from Avenida de Mesilla to West Brown Road. Closures are scheduled to be implemented from November 4, 2024, through February 28, 2025. Access will be maintained for residents; motorists are urged to follow all posted signs.
