David "Dave" E. Millard, age 80, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2024 at home surrounded by family and friends.
Dave is survived by his children Kim (Franklin) English, Troy (Nicole) Millard and Kindra (David) Millard; his granddaughters, Destiny (Noah) Stockwell, Hope Millard, Jordan Millard, Cheyenne Wise and Peyton Prouty; his brothers, Tom (Becky) Millard, Terry (Letha) Millard; and life partner, Sara Day, along with trusty family and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Antoinett; his brother, Wally and sister, Donna and his favorite companion, Deuce Dog.
Dave served in the United States Air Force. He had an extensive work life and would do anything pertaining to work, usually working two jobs. Dave led a very active life and could not be still or stop a project until the sun went down. He could fix anything and make it run better than new. He will be remembered for the four 1979 Fords he built; his work ethic and go-power; his blue eyes, his big smile, and his orneriness.
Services for Dave will be held Friday, December 27, 2024 at Baca's Funeral Chapel, 3805 Delk Drive, Silver City, NM at eleven o'clock in the morning, followed by military honors at one o'clock at Fort Bayard National Cemetery, 200 Camino de Paz, Fort Bayard, NM.
