ArnspigerD Dola Jane Arnspiger (Janie), age 76, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 14, 2024 at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces. She was born May 8th, 1948 in Grant County to Charles Shinn and Dola (Fulton) Shinn.

She was a 1966 graduate of Cobre High School. She married Billy M. Arnspiger on December 29, 1990. They were a match made in heaven. She worked as a USPS Contract Postal Carrier for 25+ years, she took pride in her job and loved all the people she met along the way. Janie was a member of the Lower Mimbres Fire department, showing her uncanny need to help people in need. Janie truly had a heart of gold. She would put her own stuff behind to help a complete stranger. Janie had unconditional love for her family and will be missed dearly.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharmon Taylor, granddaughters, Kaleigh (Eric) Herberg & Jordan Hoover, great granddaughters, Makenna & Madelyn Herzberg. She is preceded in death by her Husband Billy Mims Arnspiger, Parents Dola Pearl Shinn & Charles Allen Shinn, and brother Charles Victor Shinn.

A Graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 12:00pm at San Jose Cemetery (located at the back side of cemetery) where she will be laid to rest with her husband, Billy.Â A fellowship reception will follow at 2pm at Church of Christ (204 Tom Foy Blvd, Bayard, NM).Â
