"Welcome home," said the Lord to Faye Arlene McDonald, 97, on October 12, 2024. She passed away quietly at her home in Lordsburg with family beside her.
Faye was born on June 2, 1927, in Duncan, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Maude McDonald; baby brother Charles and brother Gene McDonald; stepsisters Vera Craddock, Alene Smith, Ilva Pruett; and stepbrother Ace Hillman.
Her survivors include her niece Sandra Shoon; nephew Tom Shoon; niece Shirley Smith and Mason; nieces Patty Tate and Ted and Beverly Hawks; and nephews Douglas and JoAnn McDonald and Jeffrey McDonald.
Faye was a member of the Lordsburg Elks Lodge and the First Baptist Church. At the age of five until her death at age 97, Faye attended the FBC. While there she served on many committees, was secretary of her junior class, secretary of her adult women's Sunday School class, served on the Kitchen Committee, worked at Vacation Bible School and the Ladies Luncheon.
There will be graveside services at Mountain View Cemetery on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.
