MartinPamelaRemembering Pamela Christine Martin

Pamela Christine Martin, age 54, passed away very unexpectedly on November 4, 2025.

Pamela is a devoted daughter, sister, and mother to her daughter Gennessa Martin.  She dedicated her life to serving Jesus first, and then to supporting her daughter through serving others as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.  She had recently fulfilled her long- time goal of pursuing her Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, starting graduate school in August, and was excited about this new endeavor in her life, and the increased opportunities that it would afford to her and Gennessa.  Pamela was known for her loving nature and her ability to stay connected with family and friends.  She was creative, adventurous and fun, with a particular knack for finding the unique and interesting.  In her busy schedule she still enjoyed spending time with her daughter, and loved animals, particularly monkeys, prairie dogs, and cats.

Pam always had a way of bringing out the best in people. It's not only what she did for a living, but it was how she lived.  If you ever called attention to the goodness you'd see in her, she would always dodge the compliment and point you toward Jesus, the Source of the Light you saw shining through her.  She loved Jesus with all of her heart, soul, and beautiful mind.

Pamela will be deeply missed by all who knew her.  Her legacy of love and compassion will live on in the hearts of those she touched.  She has moved to Heaven and is with her mother Gloria Martin, Gloria's brothers and Pamela's uncles Donald and Ronald Bateman, her maternal grandparents Martha and Lee Bateman, and her Paternal Grandparents Harrison and Lucille Martin.  Pamela is survived by her daughter, Gennessa Martin, her father, Grady Martin, sisters, Juliana (Tim) Kellogg and Cheryl (Tom) Head, Gennessa's step-father. Adam Baker, nieces and nephews, cousins and numerous other dear family and friends, who all love and miss her dearly.

Thank you for your kindness during this difficult, yet hopeful time knowing that we who believe, as Pamela believed, will see her again.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 22nd at 12:30pm, at Terrazas Funeral Chapels.  The funeral service will commence at 1pm with Pastor Ewere Obuseh and Pastor Adam Baker officiating.  Following the funeral service, interment will be at Masonic Cemetery.
