CarrilloQuma Quma Martinez Carrillo, 47, A helper, encourager, fighter, and believer. Born on June 25th, 1976. Died on June 7th, 2024. A former resident of Grant County, NM, now of Odessa, TX, entered eternal rest in Odessa, TX. She was born to her parents, David and Yolanda (Martinez) Carrillo in Rock Springs, WY.

She grew up in Silver City, New Mexico, but was a true traveler at heart who lived in California, Arizona, North Dakota, and finally Texas. Quma always enjoyed being with her friends, family and pets (most of all maybe€¦she'd laugh). She was fond of gardening, growing some of the most beautiful sunflowers and ears of blood red corn. Photography is something she did frequently, taking pictures of all natural landscapes and wild animals under the sun. She enjoyed reading classical novels such as The Picture of Dorian Gray and Frankenstein, both great novels that she always recommended. Quma cooked amazing dishes, she loved to eat as well, one of her favorite foods being green enchiladas. Listening and dancing to Spanish music was a favorite pastime of hers.

Quma's laugh and smile were truly uplifting, even in moments of despair. She was someone who cared about the overlooked things of this world and would do anything to bring light to another person's day. A bold woman. Quma did fulfill her greatest purpose on the earth and that was having her three children.

She will never be forgotten by those who cherish her and hope to see her again. Rest in the Lord Jesus Christ, Quma, dearest daughter, mother, grandmother and friend, for He is your inheritance from everlasting to everlasting. "Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful." - Hebrews 10:23

Preceded in death by her father David Carrillo, her grandparents Ramon & Soya Carrillo, Pedro & Gloria Martinez, and her uncle Gilbert Martinez. Remembered by her mother Yolanda Carrillo, children Natasha & Joshua Hitchcock, Alexis & Gage, her grandchildren Sonny & Axel, her siblings David Carrillo, Fabre Carrillo, and Maria Carrillo.

Visitations will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 4:00pm-4:30pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the Funeral Service commencing at 4:30pm, officiated by Pastor Will and Pastor Lashawn.

Cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory. Arrangements are with Terrazas Funeral Chapels and Crematory "Trust care for the ones you love" ~ 575-537-0777. To send condolences, visit www.terrazasfuneralchapel.com .
