DominguezRalphRalph Dominguez, born on November 29, 1949 in Silver City, NM passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and service. Son of Placido Dominguez and Alice Grijalva, Ralph grew up in Silver City where he attended St. Mary's Academy and Silver Consolidated Schools. He was a proud graduate of Silver High School and furthered his education at Western New Mexico University.

Ralph was an avid outdoorsman, passionate about hunting with both rifle and bow. His interests were wide-ranging, from chess, basketball, and tennis, to cheering for his favorite NFL team, the Denver Broncos. A devoted public servant, Ralph served as a councilman for Silver City for seven years and was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many capacities.

He completed a four-year apprenticeship with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW 611) and worked as an electrician for many years, eventually becoming a business agent for IBEW in Northern New Mexico. Ralph later returned to Silver City, where he served as the Director of Maintenance, Laundry and Housekeeping at Gila Regional Medical Center for 25 years.

Ralph was known for his generosity, never saying no to anyone in need. His kindness touched many lives. He was a loving husband to Terry Dominguez, with whom he shared nearly 56 years of marriage, their anniversary being just two months away on October 12, 2024. Together, they raised two children, Ralph Jr. and Kristine (deceased).

Ralph leaves behind a loving family: His two children, Ralph Jr. (Rosalie) and Kristine (deceased). Four grandchildren, Andrew, Theresa Rey, Analisa, and Gage; four great grandchildren, Kristy, Dahlia, Addy, and Xandria. He is also survived by his siblings, Diane Smith of Utah, Dennis Dominguez (Jane) of Arizona, and Jeannie Hidalgo of New Mexico. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Ralph's legacy of love, service, and generosity will be remembered by all who knew him. His memory will continue to inspire those he left behind. Visitation will be Friday, September 6th from 12-1pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with the funeral service to commence at 1pm with Bishop David Koponicki officiating. Concluding service interment will follow at Memory Lane cemetery where he will be laid to rest alongside his daughter Kristine Mantell. Pallbearers are Ralph Dominguez Jr., Andrew Dominguez, Gage Dominguez, Jack Whetten, John Hoagland, and Dennis Dominguez.
