Robert was born December 24, 1934 in Casas Grandes, Chihuahua to Alfonso Quintero and Manuela Espinosa. Robert moved to Deming in 1950 coming from Mexico for better opportunity and found it working in construction as a heavy equipment operator. He was such a hard worker and put so much pride into his work. Roberto loved music and played in various bands as a drummer for numerous years with fellow band member Jenero Baca in the band Alfonso Holguin and his Orchestra. After retirement Robert took the pleasure to enjoy the little things in life which included riding his scooter around the neighborhood in which he resided, loved tending to rose bushes, enjoying his walks every morning, sitting on his porch reading his bible, and of course sitting on the benches at the Walmart entrance and visiting with people (he was an unpaid Walmart greeter).

Robert was also a member of The Casa de Dios Church. Robert had many loves which included his 1995 cream two toned Ford pickup, his church and his love to God, and his family, especially his grandchildren, so much so that he made daily calls to all his family members. Robert will truly be missed by many.

Robert leaves behind a legacy which include his 3 sons, Luis Roberto Quintero, Javier Quintero, and Efren Carbajal; 2 daughters, Rosa Alba, and Christina (Rick) Giovannetti; his 3 brothers, Miguel (Shelia) Quintero, Lorenzo (Norma) Quintero and Pepe Quintero; a sister, Aurora Quintero; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
