McIntireRobertRobert Eugene McIntire

Robert was born on May 21, 1938 to John Henry Franklyn McIntire and Rowena Runkle McIntire in Otis Colorado. He married Patricia Schupbach on December 8, 1973. He passed away February 17, 2025 at the age of 86.

He is survived by daughter, Debbie Profitt and sons Galen McIntire and Vince (Bobbi Jo) McIntire, 3 granddaughters, Melissa, Christina and Destiny Profitt, 3 grandsons, Nathaniel, Steven, and Owen McIntire, and 2 great granddaughters, Isabella and Gabriela Profitt, brother Jim Alexander, and sisters, Fay Zimmerman and Alberta Alexander and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Fern Olson and Barbara Alexander

Bob spent his childhood on the plains of NE Colorado before moving to Denver with his family. He graduated from West High School in Denver. He had a variety of jobs before finally starting at Denver Bumper where he chrome plated recycled bumpers for 20 yrs. But he also had a small farm in Fort Collins where he raised alfalfa and a few head of angus cattle with his brother, Jim Alexander.

Bob met Pat at Denver Fiddlesteppers, a singles square dance club in Denver and promised her there would never be a dull moment. They continued to square dance throughout their marriage. Bob enjoyed mixing dancing with mischief and there was always fun if you were in a Bob square. In fact, he danced for a short time 2 weeks prior to passing. The cattle multiplied and were the reason the family moved to a ranch in the Burro mountains in 1990. At first, they lived in town but eventually the family built a barn and house on the ranch. He was always willing to help others and pulled numerous people out of trouble in Gold Gulch. He was active in the White Signal Community Hall, Grant County Cattle Growers and Boy Scouts. He enjoyed being outdoors, playing all kinds of sports, watching his grandsons in sports, and watching old time westerns. He was always a sucker for little girls and then he learned that he had a daughter in her 40's. Along with Debbie, he gained 3 granddaughters and 2 great granddaughters that he welcomed with open arms. There is no doubt that she is a McIntire.

Bob greeted everyone with a FIRM handshake. He was one of a kind.

The McIntire family would like to thank GRMC EMS, Tyrone Volunteer Fire Department, and the Grant County Sheriff's Department for their response and assistance.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 10:00am at White Signal Community Hall (on Community Hall Road, White Signal, off Hwy 90) with potluck reception to follow.
