GranilloSocorro Socorro Granillo, 68, a resident of Deming entered eternal rest on Monday, December 9, 2024 in Las Cruces.

Visitation for Socorro will begin Monday, December 16, 2024 from 5 to 6 o'clock in the evening at Baca's Funeral Chapel. The Holy Rosary will then be recited at 6, which will be led by Nena Jaurez. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 11 o'clock in the morning at St. Ann Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Fr. Francis Gyau, Pastor will officiate.

Socorro was born May 26, 1956 in El Paso, TX to Pedro Ramirez and Aurora Bustos. Socorro was a very friendly, loving, and outgoing woman. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and enjoyed playing bingo. She had an unconditional love for her family and a very special love for her grandchildren. Socorro will be deeply missed by many.

She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Sergio Granillo; her daughter, Alicia "Chico" (Alfredo) Orozco; 3 siblings, Emilia Torres, Olga Villa, and Cecila Medina; as well as her 3 grandchildren, Sergio "Chapo" Granillo, Alejandro "Guerito" Orozco, and Destiny Orozco.

Socorro was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro Ramirez, and Aurora Bustos; a sister, Irene Zapata, and her only son, Sergio Granillo Jr.

Receiving the honor to serve as Socorro pallbearers will be Alfredo Orozco, Armando Pacheco, Sergio "Chapo" Granillo, Gary Torres, Ronnie Milo, and Alvaro Palacios.

Honorary bearers will be Sergio Granillo Sr., Alejandro "Guerito" Orozco, Martin Ramirez, Justin Gutierrez, Ferno Milo, Donny Bustos and Francisco Zapata.
