Rosalie Mae Baker, 85, a resident of Arenas Valley, NM went to meet with her Maker on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Sunset Vista Assisted Living in Silver City, NM.
Rosalie was born in Niles, Michigan on March 29, 1939, attended school there and after school spent some time in Europe. She was a very talented lady and after spending some time in Europe she returned to the states and took a position with the Hughes Aerospace company in White Sands, NM. She helped design, test and work on missiles at White Sands Missile Range. After a period of time there, the work reduced and they transferred her to Tucson to continue working on missiles. Growing tired of working on missiles, she was approached by Pima Community College to teach the MOSFET and transistor technique of soldering and design. Later on, she took a position with IBM working at the Tucson site. Her experiences were many but she did not speak of it very often. She was proud of her service to the younger people at Pima College and to the country at Hughes Aerospace. She will be missed by all of us.

Xaqueline Shaden Bynum, 5, we announce with great sorrow, the unexpected passing of our sweet daughter, Xaqueline, who entered the arms of our Lord on March 10, 2024. She was born to her Papa, Matthew Curtis Bynum and her Mommy, Music Lee Adame on February 27, 2019 in Hanford, California.
Xaqueline Shaden Bynum was beautiful & fierce & insanely strong. She loved spiders, & her fearless spirit made spiders act curiously friendly. She's named after her grandmother, Jacqueline, an incredible woman & much like her, she was an incredible girl. Her taste in music was eclectic & impeccable, her legs were long & lithe with absolutely beautiful arches, her eyelashes reached her eyebrows & her gorgeous, sparkly brown eyes taught me how to finally love my own. God sure is groovy for blessing our lives with her grace. We love her so much...

He was born on July 4, 1927 to his parents, Lorenzo and Maria (Salgado) Ramirez in Sierra Blanca, TX, where our father was born and raised. He joined the United States Army and later was hired by Southern Pacific Railroad where he worked most of his life. He met his beautiful wife Olivia while working at the train depot in Lordsburg. They made Lordsburg their home and raised their four children. He was a very proud and loyal member of the LULAC club. After retiring from the railroad, he lived many more years to enjoy his retirement. One of the highlights for him was being able to attend the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City. He loved listening to music, especially Spanish music from his upbringing. Most of the time you would either find him working outside on tasks or on his computer looking up prayers. He also loved watching T.V. His favorite sports to watch were boxing and soccer. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren grow. They looked up to him as he guided them throughout life. Our father enjoyed food, especially his son-in-laws Tommy’s cooking, jalapeño poppers to be exact the extra extra hot the better!
