Jimmy Dale Witherington, 75, resident of Silver City, NM, entered eternal rest Monday, November 25, 2024 at his residence. He was born May 23, 1949 to his parents, James and Clara (Sullivan)  Witherington in West Monroe, LA.

Salvador S. Quintana, a beloved resident of Deming, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2024. Born on March 17, 1944, in Fierro, New Mexico, to Pete and Blasa Quintana, Sal lived a life filled with faith, love, and hard work.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Linda Quintana, with whom he built a beautiful life. He leaves behind his children, Michael Quintana and Socorro Prieto (Andrew), nine cherished grandchildren, and 22 adored great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his five siblings and numerous nieces and nephews who held him dear.

Salvador began working at the age of 15 at the Peru Mill in Deming and married Linda Quiroz at 18, embarking on a lifelong partnership. A skilled tradesman and a man of many talents, Sal worked tirelessly to provide for his family. From his days as a mill operator in Grant County to retiring as a Control Supervisor at Chino Mines in Santa Rita, his dedication and work ethic were unmatched.

In his younger years, Sal mastered welding, fishing, rock laying, carpentry, mechanics, and gardening. There was nothing he could not learn, fix, or improve. These skills were matched by his deeply rooted faith and devotion to God, which became the cornerstone of his life.

Our loving wife & mother Consuelo Perrault, also known as "Connie" passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Friday, November 29, 2024. Connie was born April 7, 1935 in Deming, New Mexico to Belisario Alvarez and Perfecta Molinar.

She lived in Deming all her life & married her childhood sweetheart, Anthony Perrault. They remained married for 71 years & raised their 7 children. She was grandmother to 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Connie was very well known in the community & her joy was visiting with people. Her laughter & talkative nature was contagious. She loved helping her children & was a caregiver to her parents & other family members. She worked timelessly alongside her husband to operate serval businesses which included Perrault Tire Company & The Cactus Restaurant. Even after retirement she remained active, there was no slowing her down. Connie will be greatly missed by many.

She is survived by her husband, Anthony Perrault of 71 years; 3 sons, Duane (Nancy) Perrault, Michael Perrault, and Kenneth Perrault; her 2 daughters, Annette (Raul) Guzman and Dolores Perrault; 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; as well as 2 brothers, Belisario and Manuel Alvarez.

Nichole Marie Montes Jurado, 35, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM. She was born February 9, 1989 in Las Cruces to Richard Jurado and Diane Montes.

Nichole enjoyed spending lots of time with her new grandson Jayce and her friends and family. She also enjoyed camping, going on rides, picnics, making her famous red chili, cooking and making sweet rice. Nichole has three Godsons, David Sanchez, Anthony Zazueta and Leo Grijalva who loved her very much. She also had a very special bond with her nephew Eliah Chavez and to Eliah, she was his second mom and his world.

She is survived by her parents, Larry R. and Diane Montes Grijalva of Santa Clara; her grandparents, Elfudo Jurado and Geraldo Sinaloa of Albuquerque; her Godparents, Ramona Crum and Robert Jasso of Silver City; her three sons, Joseph Romero Jr. of Santa Clara, Richard Romero of Silver City, Aedryan Romero of Silver City; her daughter, Anjelynah Romero of Las Cruces; her step-daughter, Averee Rose Sepulveda of Las Cruces; her one grandchild, Jayce Murtha; her fiancé Joseph Sepulveda of Silver City; her one brother, Lawrence Grijalva Jr, her one sister, Ernestina Grijalva both of Santa Clara; her numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard; her nephew, Lawrence M. Grijalva III; her grandmothers, Yvonne Montes, Felicitas Mendoza and Gloria Jurado; her grandfather, Luciano V. Montes; her father-in-law, Eddie Romero; her step-daughter, Aubree Sepulveda.

Wanda Joy Hendrickson, 81, passed away peacefully at her home in Silver City to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Monday, December 2, 2024. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Wanda was born in Modesto, CA on December 15, 1942 to Elmer and Lahoma Winkelman.

She is survived by her loving husband, Melvin Hendrickson. She was swept off her feet when she met this dashing young sailor boy at the age of 17 and they were inseparable for over 64 years. She is also survived by one daughter, Leslie Rodriguez, of Silver City; one granddaughter, Lindsey Rodriguez, of Mesa, AZ; and one grandson, Nicholas Rodriguez, of Belen, NM.

She was preceded in death by her precious son, Brian, at the age of 11; her parents; one sister, Norma Schaefer; and one brother, Ronald Winkelman.

Nieves Carrillo Barrio, 93, longtime resident of Lordsburg passed away Sunday December 1, 2024. Arrangements are pending.

Lucía Flores Casillas "Nana Chia", de 91 años, residente de Columbus, falleció el domingo 1 de diciembre de 2024 en su residencia rodeada de su familia.

La visitacion sera el viernes 6 de diciembre de 2024 a las 2 de la tarde en la Capilla de la Funeraria Baca's, donde el rezo del Santo Rosario comenzará a las 6 de la tarde. El sabado 7 de diciembre, 2024 abra una visitacion a las 10 de la mañana en la Mision Catolica Sagrada Familia en Columbus y despues sera la Misa de cuerpo presente a la 1 de la tarde, el entierro seguirá en el Cementerio Valley Heights. Oficiará el padre Rubén Romero.

Lucía nació en Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, hija de María Varela y Enrique Flores. Fue residente de Columbus durante 30 años. Lucía o "Nana Chia" como era conocida por muchos, le encantaba viajar, ir a fiestas y tener a su familia reunida para cualquier ocasión. Le echaremos mucho de menos.

HAROLD LEROY LACY, 75, resident of Animas passed away Thursday November 28, 2024 at his home.

Visitation will be Monday afternoon, December 9, 2024 from 12 to 2 at Baca's Funeral Chapel where funeral services will begin at 2 o'clock with Pastor Joe Bob Newman officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery in Deming.

LeRoy was born August 6, 1949 in Delta, Colorado to Harold LeRoy Lacy Sr. and Alene (Grover) Lacy.
