Felix Young Amador, 71, a resident of Silver City, NM, entered into the arms of our Lord on Monday, July 22, 2024 at Banner Hospital, in Tucson AZ. He was born on May 15, 1953 to his parents, Guillermo Rel and Emilia (Young) Amador in Bayard, New Mexico.
He worked at the mine for Kennecott/Phelps Dodge. He received his Associates in Applied Science from WNMU. He also worked for James Hamilton and Allied Barten as a security guard for many years.
Felix was a loving son, brother, uncle, father, grandfather and devoted loving husband. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family & friends. He loved to fish and go camping. He spent his last few years traveling and participating in activities with "The Divas". He was a Catholic by faith, an AZ Cardinal fan by heart and an exceptional man with a big heart and giving soul. He will be missed deeply.
He will be remembered for many things; his love of music and dancing, a jokester with many jokes and stories to tell along with a couple of magic tricks. Felix was very outgoing and was the life of the party. According to his grandkids he could fix anything. His memory will remain embedded in those who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace and continue to feel our love.
NANCY HOLLENBACK, 69, passed away on July 4, 2024 at her mother's home in Deming. She was born August 31, 1954 in Elgin, Illinois to Wallace and Sally Cheney. Nancy was preceded in death by her father Wallace Cheney, and four brothers, Ray, Lance, George and Tex Cheney, and one brother- in- law, Cub Orcutt.
Nancy was her own person who would help anyone. She had a sense of humor and always smiled. Her passion was car racing, reading and collecting Indian figurines and Bety Boop. Nancy loved her family and all animals.
Nancy is survived by her life partner of 32 years, Wayne Krack of Deming; one son, Brian (Phyllis) Hollenback of Arenas Velley, NM; mother Sally Cheney of Deming; two sisters, Cindy (Kyle) Hueston of Deming and Ruby Orcutt of T or C, NM; two brothers, Walt (Tammy) Cheney of T or C, NM and Mike Cheney of the Philippines; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be Saturday August 3, 2024 at 11 o'clock in the morning at Baca's Funeral Chapel.

Joe L. Sifuentes, 76, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Fort Bayard Medical Center. Arrangements are pending under the care of Baca's Funeral Chapels.

Betty Jane Springer, 86, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Silver City Care Center. She was born on September 24, 1937 to her parents, Dewey and Ida Mae (Allison) Dunn in Hurley, NM.
Betty will be remembered for her love of flowers, crocheting, dancing and her love for her dog "Chewy." Betty grew up in a mining family in which she had Five brothers and Three sisters. Betty was married to her husband Richard Springer of 35 years. In Betty's down time she loved to sit and enjoy watching old western movies, she loved the actor John Wayne, and her favorite singer Elvis. Betty worked from the time she was a young teenager until her Daughter Kat arrived into this world. She was the manager of Chino Federal at the time she was working. Betty enjoyed bowling and softball. As time went on Betty was a caregiver to her mom Ida for 10 years.
Betty is survived by her daughter Kat Springer of Silver City New Mexico. She is proceeded in death by her parents Dewey Dunn and Ida Mae Allison, her husband Richard Springer, Her Five Brothers Ned, Floyed, Eugene, Walter, Alvin (Dunn) and her Three Sisters Ruth, Evelyn, Edna Mae.
