Holly Cheryl Salars was born on November 3, 1973 and passed May 1, 2024 at her home in Phoenix, AZ. Born and raised in Silver City inside of two large families, she learned quickly how important family would be in her life. Through those strong family bonds with people all around, it allowed her to seek adventures in her life. She worked a wide variety of jobs in Silver City, Alaska, Tucson, and Phoenix. Holly loved experiences such as Skydiving, Hot Air Balloon rides, and Phoenix Pro sporting events of which she was an avid fan. She even attended Game 5 of the World Series last fall. Holly always made it a priority to participate in family events, so as years moved on it wasn't a surprise to understand how much she valued family gatherings.

Hermila was born on September 6, 1953 to Teresa Ruiz & Ricardo Ruiz. Hermila was a woman of faith, a hard worker, loving and a good cook and was dedicated to her home and her family. A woman who always went hand in hand with her husband to provide for her family, who never gave up despite her illness, fighting day by day for 5 years. Always with a smile on her face. Cooking for her family and seeing us at her table all together made her happy, always trying to keep the family together. Hermila liked to talk, whenever someone visited her, she welcomed them with open arms. She was a believer in God, always a woman of faith, of a good heart, of good feelings. She was the best wife, the best mother, and a very caring and loving grandmother, a good mother-in-law, sister, exemplary daughter, and a very good friend. You will always be in our hearts of all of us who love you.
Our beloved Sandra Lou Seay passed away on April 24, 2024 at her residence in Silver City, NM. She was 82 years young. She was born to her parents, Randolph Riley and Lettie (Chestnut) Watkins in East Bernstadt, Kentucky on July 2, 1941. Sandra spent 35 years teaching elementary and middle school her in Silver City, NM. She was an outstanding teacher and she will be missed by a great many students. Sandra found herself working alongside her husband, Dexter at Schadel's Bakery. They purchased the bakery after Sandra retired from teaching.
Although Sandra did not have a lot of time for herself, she did so much for her family including being a caregiver to her mother, mother-in-law, her brother and finally to her husband, she loved her Sorority Sisters and belonging to Beta Sigma Phi. Her Sorority Sisters just celebrated her 60th anniversary in memoriam. Sandra also really enjoyed bowling. She and the whole family had been on many bowling leagues through the years.
Juana Sotelo Abeyta, 71, a resident of Santa Clara, NM, entered eternal rest on Sunday April 28, 2024 at Gila Regional Medical Center, in Silver City, NM. She was born to her mother, Hermelinda (Robles) Campos in San Juan, TX, on October 18, 1952.
Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and Tia Juanita was the heart of our family. She devoted her life to her family at no cost. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her. She also had many friends and was a well-loved member of the community in Santa Clara. She retired from FBMC while still managing to care for her late husband, mother, sisters, and her children. She always made sure none of her family would do without. Her biggest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, and nieces. She loved to go to yard sales, buying things off the TV, and going to casinos with her brother-in-law and her sisters. She was always trying to stay busy and if anyone had a collection of tools, it was her. She was a very loving and caring person and in her eyes we could do no wrong. She had love for everyone she came across, especially for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was the type of person that once you met her, your friendship would last a lifetime. She had a heart of gold and will be greatly missed.
