Cheryl Ann Oglesby, 72, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Saturday, May 2, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born November 8, 1947 in San Bernardino, CA to James Paris Louthan and Dorothy Alma Breit Louthan. Cheryl enjoyed the outdoors, camping. She enjoyed being a nurse, taking care of people; but most all she enjoyed being around family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Ronald Oglesby of the family home; one son, James William Oglesby; two daughters, Lisa Lynn Kruger of Phoenix, AZ; Cynthia May Worthington of San Diego, CA; eight grandchildren, Ella Cate, Hayden, Aaron, Lauren, Brennan, Cassandra, Cheyene, and Hayley; one great grandchild, Cambria; one brother, Ron Louthan of IA. She is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Kenneth Christopher Oglesby.
A funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, May 8 at 10am at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with Dr. John Bell officiating. Due to the COVID-19 exposure concerns a limit of five people are permitted to be in the chapel at a time. Concluding service and interment will follow at Fort Bayard National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be the Marine Corp League. Honorary pallbearers will be the rest of her family, friends, and Veterans.
