LewisTerryTerry Len Lewis, 70, a resident of Silver City, NM, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Tucson, AZ.  He was born January 20, 1954 to his parents, Elzie Leo and Juanita Bonnell (Ridling) Lewis in Las Cruces, NM.

In loving memory of Terry Lewis, a devoted husband and father who loved his family dearly. Terry was a dedicated family man who found joy in making his yard a beautiful sanctuary through planting and gardening. His happiest moments were spent surrounded by his loved ones and his passion for the outdoors shone through in his love for hunting, fishing, and camping. An entrepreneur from a young age, Terry’s journey began at R&L Shamrock Gas Station, founded by his father Elzie and his grandfather & “Buttermilk.” Starting at the young age of eight, Terry’s work ethic and dedication to the family business were evident as he washed headlights and windshields, a humble beginning that paved the way for his entrepreneurial spirit to flourish. The gas station wasn’t just a place of work for Terry; it was a part of his identity, and he cherished the relationships he built with the customers. With a good sense of humor, simplicity, and a down-to-earth nature, Terry Lewis will be remembered not only as a businessman but as a kind-hearted soul who left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Ruth (Keene) Lewis; his son Russel “Rusty” Lewis (Ana) of Silver City, NM; his daughter, Crissy Lewis-Carrillo of Silver City, NM; his sister Sue Patterson of Buckhorn, NM; his seven grandchildren, Kori Dominguez (Jeremy Ybarra), Ashley Frost-Reyes (Robert), Cody Frost, Kassy Culp (Cody), Kourtnee Whittington (Josh), Clay Lewis, Lacey Lewis; his numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Misty Lewis-Gonzales; his sister, Lovella Smith; his son-in-law Felix Carrillo; his brother-in-law, Lester Patterson.
