It is with great sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. Mary was born July 5, 1942 in Santa Rita, to Manuel and Maria Luisa Gomez. Mary lived a full and vibrant life.

She was the loving wife of Nestor T. De La Torre. Together they raised a beautiful family of four, Michael (Berniece) of Las Lunas, NM, Robert (Shawna) of Waxahachie, TX, Gilbert "Gibby" (Terri) of Bayard, NM, Christopher "Pino." She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kelly (Dennis), Randilynn, Mikey, Josetta (Geno), Shane (Krysten), Alex (Alicia), Danielle (Matthew), Liam, Erik, Joseph & Jeremy; her great-grandchildren, "Her Chula" D'Andreah, Landen, Izaiah, Yazzie, Kayden, Rose, Damacio, Bianca, Emilio, AJ, Juan (Johnny), Emarie, Matthew Jr., Zayren, Dallaz, Andres, Draco; her brothers, Manuel Gomez Jr. (Ruth) of Albuquerque, NM and Jackie Gomez (Delores) of Silver City, NM; her numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Nestor, son Christopher, great granddaughter Coraline Love; her siblings Margarita Sy, Steve Gomez, Edward "Rocky" Gomez.

She loved her Dallas Cowboys and never missed a Lakers Game…and Loved Labron. She assisted with communion ministry for Infant Jesus and for the funeral ministry. She maintained the church's holy water when she had the opportunity. She took every one of her grandkids to swim lessons and free lunches during the summer break! She enjoyed the family rides to Dairy Queen that led to a drive all over town. Visiting her granddaughter Kelly for her evening dinner, especially her red enchiladas and rice.

Visitations will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at 5:00pm-6:00pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the Holy Rosary commencing at 6:00pm, with Mike and Berneice De La Torre reciting. Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 9:30am at Infant Jesus Shrine, with Father Casmir Anozie officiating. Inurnment will follow cremation at 4:30pm at Hanover Cemetery. Pallbearers are Geno Lucero, Alex De La Torre, Jeremy De La Torre, Erik De La Torre, Dennis Salaiz, Mikey De La Torre, Shane De La Torre, Yazzie Pacheco and Matthew Carrillo.
