Francisco "Frankie" Leonardo Dominguez Montoya, 31, lifelong resident of Deming passed away Sunday, July 14, 2024 at his home.
Visitation will begin Wednesday, July 24, 2024 from 5 to 6 o'clock in the evening at Baca's Funeral Chapel. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be recited at 6 led by Christine B. Milo. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 10 o'clock in the morning at St. Ann's Catholic Church followed by the rite of committal and interment at Mountain View Cemetery. Fr. Martin Okonkwo will officiate.
Frankie was born April 17, 1993 in Deming, New Mexico to Leo Jesus Montoya and Nancy Dominguez. Frankie was a very loving, caring, genuine, unique, mentor, hardworking, leader and intelligent induvial. Those are a few of the characteristics that explain the type of man Frankie was. He could make friends very easily anywhere he went, with such a contagious and loving smile, leaving memories everywhere he went.
Joe Ernesto Martinez, 83, lifelong resident of Lordsburg passed away Saturday July 13, 2024 in Las Cruces. Arrangements are pending.

Elvira Martinez Arias, 95, a long-time resident of Deming, NM, born January 21, 1929, in Moris, Chihuahua, passed away on July 11, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of faith, family, and integrity. She was a devoted mother who worked tirelessly to provide for her many children and grandchildren. Known for her infectious laughter and culinary skills, Elvira's fresh tortillas, empanadas, tamales, and menudo were a staple in her household. She also found joy in crocheting baby blankets, canning fruits, and vegetables, roasting chile, peeling pecans, and spending early mornings outdoors gardening and tending to her animals. Elvira was humble and giving, always putting others before herself, and constantly caring for her grandchildren with endless love.
Elvira is survived by her sons, Miguel (Jennifer) Arias, Arturo (Candace) Arias, and Gerardo Arias; and her daughters, Alma (Raymundo Marrufo) Arias, Maria (Francisco) Flores, Estella (Jorge) Ortiz, and Lucy Arias; her nephew Antonio Martinez, and nieces Amparo Martinez Reyes, and Maria Martinez Burciaga. She was a beloved grandmother to 39 grandchildren and a cherished great-grandmother to 50 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and wonderful friends and caregivers Marta Armendariz and Elvira Saenz Jimenez.
Mary Lou Padilla, 91, of Silver City passed away Friday, July 12, 2024 at Fort Bayard Medical Center. Service arrangements are pending.

Maria (Mary) G. De La Torre, 82
It is with great sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. Mary was born July 5, 1942 in Santa Rita, to Manuel and Maria Luisa Gomez. Mary lived a full and vibrant life.
She was the loving wife of Nestor T. De La Torre. Together they raised a beautiful family of four, Michael (Berniece) of Las Lunas, NM, Robert (Shawna) of Waxahachie, TX, Gilbert "Gibby" (Terri) of Bayard, NM, Christopher "Pino." She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kelly (Dennis), Randilynn, Mikey, Josetta (Geno), Shane (Krysten), Alex (Alicia), Danielle (Matthew), Liam, Erik, Joseph & Jeremy; her great-grandchildren, "Her Chula" D'Andreah, Landen, Izaiah, Yazzie, Kayden, Rose, Damacio, Bianca, Emilio, AJ, Juan (Johnny), Emarie, Matthew Jr., Zayren, Dallaz, Andres, Draco; her brothers, Manuel Gomez Jr. (Ruth) of Albuquerque, NM and Jackie Gomez (Delores) of Silver City, NM; her numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Nestor, son Christopher, great granddaughter Coraline Love; her siblings Margarita Sy, Steve Gomez, Edward "Rocky" Gomez.
Juan Antonio Ramirez Jr., 59, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Friday, July 5, 2024 at his residence. Arrangements are pending with Terrazas Funeral Chapels ~ 575-537-0777.
Matias G. Olivas, 94, formerly of Silver City passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 in Albuquerque.
The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will take place on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at eleven o'clock in the morning at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Bayard and the Funeral Mass will follow at eleven-thirty in the morning. Concluding Services and burial will be at one o'clock in the afternoon at Fort Bayard National Cemetery. Full Military Honors will be accorded.
