SW Women's Fiber Arts Collective Offers Make and Take at Give Grandly!
The SW Women's Fiber Arts Collective (SWFAC) will participate at the 2024 Give Grandly event on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 9 am to 2 pm at the Main Street Plaza in downtown Silver City. SWFAC will be offering a make-and-take fiber flower activity at their booth.
"We are excited to participate again this year", states Jean Hill board vice-president. "We are so grateful to the Grant County Community Foundation and the Give Grandly Coalition for sponsoring this annual 24-hour community giving day that supports so many local nonprofit organizations in our community. Come by our booth and meet some of our members. It's a great way to learn about the fiber arts and what we do. We would love to meet you!"
Donations can be made online now at www.givegrandly.org or come by in person on May 4th. Donations will go toward our operating expenses so we can fulfill our mission of providing fiber artisans a means to earn income, learn and network. SWFAC will also be offering two fiber art activities this June as part of the Silver City Public Library's summer youth programming.

ONLINE GIVING APRIL 20TH THRU MAY 20TH - IN PERSON GIVING AT FORT BAYARD SATURDAY MAY 4THÂ
BETWEEN 10 AM AND 2 PM
Good Evening Friends and Members of FBHPS,
Members of the Fort Bayard Historic Preservation Society believe our mission of collecting, preserving and interpreting Historic Fort Bayard's story helps the local residents understand the importance of the fort's history from its military existence to becoming the largest TB facility in the country to a hospital/treatment center. We contribute to cross-cultural understanding among our diverse population, especially by growing our educational and exhibit programs. Museum improvements are essential to creating an environment where learning experiences can flourish. We aim to start with educating our young.
Hello! It's that time of year again! Give Grandly is right around the corner and this year The Commons is participating both online and in-person. The event will be held from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Main Street Plaza in Silver City.
