Wilderness Ranger district to conduct prescribed fires during early December
MIMBRES, NM, Nov. 15, 2024 – The Wilderness Ranger District is planning to conduct multiple prescribe fire projects, including the 250-acre Upper Terry Canyon Prescribed Fire along Forest Road 150. The district will also look to implement the 128-acre T-bird Prescribed Fire directly behind Camp Thunderbird in the 3 Circles Project Area. Other units that may be implemented are near the Sapillo Campground area and additional units adjacent to Terry Springs Prescribed Fire.

Last night employee was called by an unknown subject who told her they were with the FDA and needed the money from the store to pay for licenses, etc. for the building. Caller believed them and took money from the cash register to a "bitcoin box" at the Bayard Snappy. Deputy spoke with caller.
Unwanted subject
Hurley Avenue
A named female was trespassed from this business and she is in the restroom and hasn't left. Officer made contact with the female and issued her a CTW and she left the property.

Dogwood Circle
Caller from Kentucky hasn't talked to his mother in about a month/she isn't answering her phone. Deputy – contact/everything is okay/she will call her son.
Unwanted subject
Faith Road
Property for sale next to caller's house has homeless people living in it/someone removed the For Sale sign. Deputy found the camp/no one there at this time/will make contact with the caller/out with owner of the property/subject is (redacted) who has permission to be on the property by the owner which is the Chiricahua Apache National Foundation/subject also has documentation of this/caller was advised of info as well.

Caller advised a named female and her husband have been fighting all day and caller has not been able to contact her. Officer advised everything is okay/will call caller.
Domestic disturbance
N. Gold Street – 2:02 a.m.
Caller says her husband is damaging property/she was hit by him/she was not able to speak with officers when they were here earlier/her brother-in-law would not let them in/she wants her brother-in-law out of the house. Caller says her husband has been drinking all day and was . . .

Was tailing caller/not maintaining lane/grey Ford pickup/driving at a high rate of speed. Caller advised NMSP has vehicle pulled over. BPD officer out with NMSP Erie and Bard.

Deer that was hit is partially in the roadway and still alive. Deputy – ATL from MM 140 to MM 135 twice/negative contact.

Caller advised her sister pulled a knife out on her/advised it's an ongoing civil issue. Deputy – served 72-hour eviction notice starting now.
