SANTA FE – Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham has appointed Manny Barreras as Cabinet Secretary of the Department of Information Technology (DoIT).
With over 26 years of professional experience in sales and business development, including 22 years dedicated to technical sales, marketing management, and public relations, Barreras brings a wealth of expertise to the role.

Albuquerque, NM – The New Mexico State Fair, renowned for its celebration of the state's rich agricultural heritage and culinary creativity, has announced the winners of this year's highly anticipated Unique Foods and Beef Jerky competitions. The Unique Foods Competition lived up to its name, drawing entries that pushed the boundaries of creativity and taste. The Unique Foods Contest ended in a tie for the first time in the competition's history. The Conductor's Corn Dog from Gravy Train and Rex's Belgian waffle green chile cheeseburger wowed the judges with their incredible flavors and creativity and ended the competition in a dead heat for the top prize.
SANTA FE– The New Mexico State Treasurer's Office (STO) will begin a series of community events to share information about beneficial State Treasurer's Office programs and engage in community discussions to collaborate with and offer support to local governments; school, water, and special districts; the disability community; banks; and community organizations.
The first visit of the series will begin September 9th, 2024, in Las Cruces and Alamogordo.

Medication and procedural abortion
Miscarriage management
Range of contraception options including IUDs implants, emergency contraception, and hormonal and barrier contraception options
Pregnancy loss support and management
Lactation support
Women's Preventative care, sexually transmitted infection and cancer screenings
Adoption education and resources
Limited Primary Care including: STI screenings, cervical cancer screenings, checkups for sexual health care
Doula Support
Southern New Mexico is an area of the state where expansion of this type of clinical health care is critically needed. Additionally, these services will be available to residents of Texas and other states who currently face legal restrictions or bans.
This event will be heavily secured by law enforcement. Do not announce this event to your audiences, doing so could potentially place event attendees in danger. This event is not open to the public. Invited guests will be required to show a government issued photo ID. Due to safety concerns, we respectfully request you do not share the exact location of the future clinic with your audiences.
