The Grant County Golf Association will be hosting the annual Drew Hunter Junior Golf Camp June 15-19. 

Kids 6-18, beginners to high school golfers are welcome. Learn the game and have fun with Head Pro Len Zamora and staff.  Cost is $10 per child. Clubs will be provided if you don't have any. 

Lunch will also be provided each day.  Kids who complete the program will get to play free all summer long. Conditions apply.

This free summer camp, open to rising 4th-6th graders, features experiential outdoor lessons and field trips that lead children toward a positive, confident relationship with nature. Three week-long sessions will be provided, each running 9am-3pm, Monday-Friday. Session One will take place in Silver City from June 1-5. Session Two will also take place in Silver City from June 8-12. Session Three will take place in Bayard from June 15-19, 2026.

Fort Bayard Historic Preservation Society Announces Upcoming Film Series :: Education

In recognition of the 250th anniversary of American Independence, the Fort Bayard Historic Preservation Society is pleased to announce a weekly film series that will run from May 14 through June 25.  The series, entitled "Crucible of Liberty: The American Revolution in Film", will be shown on Thursday evenings at the Santa Clara Armory Building, located across US Highway 180 from the Village of Santa Clara, next to Dollar General and Open Space Brewery.    Doors open at 6 p.m. with programs starting at 6:30 p.m.  Admission is free, donations are accepted.
