SILVER CITY- The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) District One along with Highland Enterprise Inc. (Contractor) will be continuing a maintenance operation project to place "chip seal" pavement on NM 15 and NM 35 and finalize the placement on NM 152 in Grant County. The chip seal process is a surface treatment that is placed on the existing pavement. It is designed to seal out moisture and create a more durable surface extending the longevity of the roadway. Â

Russ Howell was not just a leader; she was a visionary who understood the importance of grassroots engagement. She developed an innovative plan to welcome and engage new residents of Luna County, ensuring they were informed about the Republican Party and how they could get involved. This initiative not only broadened their base but also strengthened their community, reflecting Russ's deep understanding of effective political strategy and community building.
